In an earlier post Dann stated Emo was kicking 17 types of ass... (i think it was 17) to get the umc done. During an internet search I was only able to find 5 common ass types... These include APPLEBOTTOM, TEAR DROP, FLAT, PIG TAIL and GHETTO BOOTY. Clearly if Emo has found 17 types of ass to kick they are infact over achieving and should be applauded for their efforts.... With that said I need 3 prepros... let's git er done boys....

It is just a pre/pro. If it needs more time, so be it. It is not the first and only pre/pro. Even our economy will take longer time to recover. Meanwhile, there are many things in life you can enjoyed. Happy Independence day for our Canadian friends.

Damned if you do...damned if you don't!
Paitiently waiting for a pre-pro that will perform as advertised, and for a bargain! Although I do enjoy tuning in to the forums for some levity and drama!

Are you sure he is really dead? Michael or the skull? Ha, I knew someone would ask that. Both.

Predictions get made based on the best available information. Then something changes, goes wrong, or does not work out exactly as planned. This is very common in consumer electronics, and especially with complicated software-driven pieces of gear. It's just that normally the public never hears about it except maybe through some vague rumors from a trade publication. Anyone who feels personally cheated or lied to or any other such nonsense because of a release delay is really being silly and self-centered and simply does not understand how these things sometimes happen, IMO. That Emotiva made predictions that could not be met is, simply, an unfortunate byproduct of making any public predictions at all. These kinds of negative reactions is one reason we don't see more information now than we do. Whatever, do what you like. Like I said, some people apparently like to *bleep*. Others will wait until what they want becomes available. Me, I'll be happy when the new processor is released, whenever that is. It's not life or death. That pretty much sums it up. Well put dyohn. +2

I would say many of us knew the possibilities when we got on the pre-order list..Yes..we were hopeful and excited at the prospect of having a new processor in our hands within a short period..BUT..after the first of several set backs and delays with the unit..many had to decide if waiting was going to be an option..Some elected to hold out then as now..others didn't. At all points of this saga..the folks at Emotiva keep us in the loop...at all points along the way..the decision to wait on the unit was up to the individual.. Some here.. have in voicing their frustration.. have forgotten that in most of these delays..those waiting on the UMC-XMC..are not alone..many other companies are having to tell their customers the same thing..companies like Outlaw..Sheerwood and others all waiting on the new Torrino chipset.. I like many here was waiting patiently for it to come out..but..as an adult who usually tries to think things thru..based my decision to opt out of waiting any longer on my immediate needs on the likelihood of additional delays forced onto the company by their vendor..o with additional problems that might cop up.. For those who are upset, angry, resentful over this delay,I have to ask why you didn't think it thru more.No one has taken a dime from you for a product still in production...and it has always been your decision to wait..If you blame the company and say things like vaporwre..or they strung us along..I honestly feel you are looking to put the blame on them instead of where it really belongs, which is on your own shoulders.. We are all adults..or at least supposed to be..being upset is ok..as long as you acknowledge your as much at fault here as anyone else.. We all want to have one of the new processors..or at least most of us do..and we are all anxious to see them sold routinely...just know we Emotiva fans aren't alone in this..and that others waiting for their company of choice are waiting as well.. Needless complaining isn't discussing the issue of what's causing the hold up..It serves no purpose other than to let folks vent..and causes more issues than it should..It's not constuctive critisisim..so it isn't.. benificial to the company..It might make a few feel good..but is usually detramental to the group at large in a number of ways.. Mac Mac As one of the "whiners" I have to disagree with this assessment. Emotiva has not only keep is "in the loop" but "in a loop" as well. Each delay would be explained and then a new date would be provided. Not too close but not far enough to make most jump ship. I know, Emotiva has not taken any of our money!!! Talk about missing the point... This is the bottom line. How many you would have jumped all over a POL if up front you knew the product wouldn't be available for a year and a 1/2 (and counting) ? And be honest.

That's why I grabbed an Outlaw 970 on the cheap. And now it's even cheaper.

i made the jump in april on the 885 deal. i am glad i did. i am still on the preorder list, and will be purchasing when it is available. I think ALOT of people would have bought something else, while waiting, if they knew it would be delayed as many times as it has been. And yeah, i am wondering where the new pix are? While its really not a big deal, why mention it? Yeah, i know, i am whining, and i am sure the emo crew is tired of reading about all the complaining, but, we all need to vent, and i guess this is the place to do it.

Well I`m waiting for the XMC and no I would not jump ship , my yamaha 1600 works just fine and I lived with out the other feature set and formats for years , but I have the oppo 83 now so I get the HD audio now through 7.1 analog though I prefer HDMI , I can and will wait for a pre/pro that meets emotivas standards , it`s that reason/standerd that I`m waiting for a emotiva component in the first place .
