I would say many of us knew the possibilities when we got on the pre-order list..Yes..we were hopeful and excited at the prospect of having a new processor in our hands within a short period..BUT..after the first of several set backs and delays with the unit..many had to decide if waiting was going to be an option..Some elected to hold out then as now..others didn't. At all points of this saga..the folks at Emotiva keep us in the loop...at all points along the way..the decision to wait on the unit was up to the individual.. Some here.. have in voicing their frustration.. have forgotten that in most of these delays..those waiting on the UMC-XMC..are not alone..many other companies are having to tell their customers the same thing..companies like Outlaw..Sheerwood and others all waiting on the new Torrino chipset.. I like many here was waiting patiently for it to come out..but..as an adult who usually tries to think things thru..based my decision to opt out of waiting any longer on my immediate needs on the likelihood of additional delays forced onto the company by their vendor..o with additional problems that might cop up.. For those who are upset, angry, resentful over this delay,I have to ask why you didn't think it thru more.No one has taken a dime from you for a product still in production...and it has always been your decision to wait..If you blame the company and say things like vaporwre..or they strung us along..I honestly feel you are looking to put the blame on them instead of where it really belongs, which is on your own shoulders.. We are all adults..or at least supposed to be..being upset is ok..as long as you acknowledge your as much at fault here as anyone else.. We all want to have one of the new processors..or at least most of us do..and we are all anxious to see them sold routinely...just know we Emotiva fans aren't alone in this..and that others waiting for their company of choice are waiting as well.. Needless complaining isn't discussing the issue of what's causing the hold up..It serves no purpose other than to let folks vent..and causes more issues than it should..It's not constuctive critisisim..so it isn't.. benificial to the company..It might make a few feel good..but is usually detramental to the group at large in a number of ways.. Mac Mac As one of the "whiners" I have to disagree with this assessment. Emotiva has not only keep is "in the loop" but "in a loop" as well. Each delay would be explained and then a new date would be provided. Not too close but not far enough to make most jump ship. I know, Emotiva has not taken any of our money!!! Talk about missing the point... This is the bottom line. How many you would have jumped all over a POL if up front you knew the product wouldn't be available for a year and a 1/2 (and counting) ? And be honest. Amen Brotha! I'm still recovering from the wounds inflicted by the Emo Fan Death Dealers.

Amen Brotha! I'm still recovering from the wounds inflicted by the Emo Fan Death Dealers. So say you as you listen to your v663. How dare you use a lesser AVR when there was a pre-order list. A pre-order list dammit! I'm on the pre-order list. ;D And I can't wait to throw that 663 in the trash.

A whole 10 posts and throwing some weight around. How impressive. There is no conversation. It will be done when it is done. If you don't like ESTIMATED delivery dates, posted in an OPT-IN forum, don't read the them. If you do, take them with a grain of salt like any intelligent person would do. Pretty simple. Or I guess you can just keep spinning your wheels. OK, I guess I can now add stupid to the list...

I'm pretty impressed. This temper tantrum has gone on less than a week and already 11 pages of completely wasted space. To think it's still a couple of more months until the kids go back to school, who knows how long it can go on. What happens when it is released and not everyone on the list gets to buy one? Oh what fun that will be. Oops I spoke too soon. Let's add immature to the list also. Sorry that you have continue with the name calling. Maybe you should lighten up a bit. It's not my fault you live in Cleveland. ;D P.S. Because of your superior intellect I'm sure you won't let this die so I look forward to what other names you can come up with in your next 'wasted space' post. Actually, isn't it usually the immature who is more likely to resort to name calling during a discussion ? Or, here's another thought, maybe you could just let a question that is directed at the Emotiva staff be answered by the Emotiva staff (if they care to).

If you're not simply complaining over something you have no control over, not to mention no real say in, what exactly is your "question about Emotiva products" as you stated? The reason for the delay has been given. No firm date has been given for release. No manual is available as of yet. No new information is being disclosed at this point. These answers have been given by Dann in this thread. So what else is there you would like to know about an Emotiva product? A Cleveland jab. How original. If it sounds like a duck...

I always find the "you live in Cleveland" put down funny. Like people who live in Cleveland don't know it's hole. Like we don't know Detroit is all that stands between us and oblivion. That somehow pointing out the obvious is some great feat in put downs. Truth is most people don't actually "live" in Cleveland for these very reasons.
Of course, given someone actually living in Cleveland and someone with intellectual impediments, at least the Clevelander can move...hypothetically speaking.

Finally, a voice of reason !!! Great idea. Or if you give a date just don't give us the best possible date if everything were to go as planned. Or if you give 3 or 4 dates out and you don't make any of them then by all means don't give another! Just announce it at CES in January and say estimated 3rd or 4th qtr. And as far as POL are concerned. It really is, as someone else mentioned previously, an indication that a product is imminent I don't care what anyone says. I'd be willing to bet that Emo will be changing how they do future POLs and not because of the complaining either. They know they screwed up! Just ask them. Information sharing. Duh! I have always been curious why these blue bleeders have a such a low (zero to be specific) tolerance policy. I guess that's understandable (although I don't think that their fear is justified). But sorry I still can't forgive them for being sooooo annoying. Can you imagine they complain when 'we' ask about details on the numerous dates missed or why there's no pdf yet or whatever. You know.. actual questions on Emotiva products !!! But 'they' call us whiners and bitchers and chronic complainers and spoiled 10 year olds and then post ad nauseum about such pertinent topics as herpes and skulls. Weird .... Huh you mean you can be an Emotiva fan and still ask questions ? littlesaint, jlafrenz, red, is that allowed ? Sorry don't mean to pick on you 3 as there are plenty others but you seem the most vocal on trying to shut this conversation down. lol dude....shut up... no need for personal attacks. No one ever said you can't ask questions, look around as i ask questions constantly about upcoming product. But asking questions and bitching are two different things. Some people here are like those stupid dogs that dont learn from eletric fences...they just keep on getting shocked.... P.S.- Messenger, 11 out of your 12 posts are you whining...

Well, been following the thread so I thought, 'what the hell I'll contribute my useless 2 cents.' I'm on the waiting list as well. While I'm not upset this is a bit frustrating. My wife bought me a blu-ray for Christmas due to me thinking Emo could deliver on that date. Now 7 months later still absolutely no idea when this thing is coming out. I'm really trying to be a loyal customer after my previous purchases, but it is a bit of a draining process. I would just like to know if this next delay is a matter of a month or two or another 6 or more months. If it's the latter then I'd rather just purchase another processor. I feel it's a fair question for Emo so many of us who have been paitiently waiting can finally decide if we want to stick it out or move on. No hard feelings or anything, just kind of want to finally make a decision. These delays remind me of purchases I made from another ID speaker company. Delay after delay after delay, but great product once you actually receive it. Nobody will ever tell you that it's more than 6 months out. they would have done that over a year ago if that were the case. Too many lost customers if they ever admit that.

But at least we're not being strung along What I don't get is that I assumed at least a few of these made it through final testing, were produced and ready to ship hence the stated expected June delivery. This recent problem must have been recognized before June. Why make your customers sweat through an entire month thinking this thing is coming out before saying something? If I didn't get that free key chain I might feel a little angst at this point.

No one's ever made a time speculation here that did not seem feasible at the time. There's never been any thought given to losing customers if we predict something too far out.

They don't want us to buy anything from them, ever again. They intentionally strung everyone along only to delay some more to get a big laugh. Sure they're missing a revenue stream, not to mention money already invested, but isn't that worth a big laugh? Isn't that worth losing potential customers, letting competitors get their product (admittedly broken products ) out ahead of them? Don't you see the genius in intentionally doing all of this? yeah, me neither.

Nothing to defend really, just trying to make a point that your assumptions and suppositions make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
