I haven't looked at the Harmony database yet, but perhaps they are not making public remote codes to any device still in development.

Well, at least Emo *finally* got honest and updated their "Processors" page to reflect the truth of the matter:
"This category doesn't have anything in it, but check back soon."
It appears all the wishful thinking by the fan-boys for an EmoFest release of the UMC-1 were for naught. Anybody here willing to take a bet that it won't be released this month?
The icing on the cake had to be when they found out that the *finally* completed processors wouldn't fit in the shipping boxes. But, never fear, it's really just a simple fix and I'm sure they'll use their newly-patented box stretcher to solve the problem.
Seriously though, the one thing that really makes me think we have a 2-3 month wait before they actually begin shipping the product is that there is no downloadable Users Manual available yet. *Surely* the product is truly "finished" and ready for shipping, so why no Users Manual to at least keep us busy while we wait for the GODOT-1 to begin shipping?
I'm thinking that the video board mis-fit fiasco that was supposedly a "very simple fix" was a cover story for the real problem(s). I've got $25 that says the GODOT-1 will not ship before the end of October (*) - any takers?
(*) And I mean October 2009. Although, even October 2010 would probably be a safe bet based upon past performance...
Sooooooo, who's feeling lucky today?

Hmmmm ........ I see the same page I have been seeing for the last couple of months. No changes. Perhaps you were looking in the online store. I don't believe the UMC was ever listed there.
So yeah, I am feeling lucky ;D ;D

LOL.....been there too....it's pretty hard for me to understand what is so damned important about audio. Nobody is going to die on the table here. We are just listening to music. Last I knew, this was supposed to be FUN. Whatever R

Does anyone know how good this sucker is supposed to be with stereo-audio? I have for a long time looking for a processor that can bridge the gap between receivers for HT and really good stereo-amp/preamp.
And what is this XMC-1 everyone is talking about?

jakja83...there are many posting on this within the forum. But, I talked this with Lonnie at emofest, and basically - the UMC-1 is supposed to be quite good with audio, but the currently available USP-1 stereo preamp is better. (I bought one an can testify, it's the best pre-amp I ever owned.) And, the USP-1 has a home theater bypass that lets you have your 2-channel "analog bliss", yet with a push of a button be in multichannel through a multi-channel processor. (So, I have a Denon 3806 AVER receiver running multichannel and the USP-1 running for times I want 2-channel).
The XMC-1 they plan to release after the UMC-1 ("sometime after 1/10" and "sometime next spring" were quotes I heard at Emofest), is supposed to be very close to the USP-1 in 2-channel mode. So, it's an option once it arrives.
But for now - I highly reco the USP-1 for a great 2-channel with an easy multichannel link.

Sorry for going OT, but how exactly would I connect it between a Yamaha RXV1900 and my XPA-2? Just L + R and LFE in and L + R out to XPA-2 and LFE out of USP-1 to my subs and when HT Bypass is engaged I will experience no coloration in sound og delay through the USP-1 when the Yammmi is running everything else?

Correct. AVR -> USP-1 -> XPA-2. When HT bypass is invoked, it's like you are removing the USP-1 from the chain.

Speaking of the XMC-1, now that the UMC-1 is finalized, weren't there supposed to get the XMC-1 specs so we can decide between the 2?

jakja83...what ratmice said + a few more details.
You would also connect whatever analog sources you like to the USP-1's analog in's. And whatever sources you want to your AVR-processor.
When you listen to the analog sources on the USP-1, all sources run through it directly to your front amp(s) and sub. Analog bliss, per Emo-marketing!
When you listen to any source running into your AVR-receiver (and have HT bypass on USP-1 selected), all channels run through your AVR-processor. The fronts + sub then run from your AVR-pre/pro through the USP-1's HT inputs but directly to your front amp and sub (w/o any processing after the AVR-pre/pro).
No delay, no processing by the USP-1...just 3 extra cables vs. a normal pre/pro-only setup.

One would think so, but there has been a surprising lack of info from the Emotiva crew on the UMC front. Really? I think Emotiva has disclosed a fairly large amount of info on the UMC-1. In fact about 200+ people saw the UMC-1 in operation last weekend at Emofest. We actually watched a part of a movie in a theater and saw the various configuration settings in detail. Emotiva is awaiting the blessing of licensing bodies before they can assemble and ship them. All required parts we are told are in stock at the factory. The XMC-1 will be based on the UMC platform and will share some hardware and software. At least the wait for licensing will not be factor. So the XMC will not be far behind.
