What will you be using it for? Streaming music from the Amazon Echo > Startech > Toslink to Oppo 105

Paradigm PWAMP at the local electronics shop, $599 on for $247 I'm assuming they are being updated with a new version or discontinued as they seem to be on sale everywhere www.paradigm.com/en/wireless/pw-ampHow is it? So far so good, just running it on my Chane towers at the moment, going to use it for some outdoors for the summer as you use the DTS Play-Fi APP which has all the streaming services built in, I have my Tidal account added to it, sounding really nice ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Chad

Are these guys speaking English? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) I have no idea what they're talking about. ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) Whatever it is......it looks cool!
LOL.......you should here me at work..............total geek fest. It's OK, I don't know sh** about fishing lures, etc.
Basically all he is talking about are the specs for his Home theater personal computer he either built or is upgrading. Solid state hard drive instead on the spinning disk, quad core processor, and the 1000 watt power supply. Looks sweet! Ive been out of the computer building game for a while now. The line between computers and audio equipment is getting thinner all the time.

At the suggestion of another forum member I contacted Mapletree Audio and am having them build me a switch. It is their SCC1 Systme Configuration Controller. mapletreeaudio.comShould be completed next week and shipped shortly after. This item should be my last component to my HT / Stereo Syetm. ![](https://i.postimg.cc/85v5j3NG/DCAD6-A98-F0-F5-4-C5-C-B87-A-A4-B0-CAAF10-A9.jpg) ![](https://i.postimg.cc/rySsTvfC/6-B8056-A8-907-E-49-B0-9-C28-331-B65-ECE7-A5.jpg)

Getting to the Bottom and making it look good. Just got the SVS PB-1000. The Bedroom will do the whole thing now with my Onkyo TX-RZ820 and Elac 6.2. The Cherokee needs some glistening good looks so F-11 top coat is ordered just for that. ![](//storage.proboards.com/1381179/thumbnailer/VhkzegeJhyzXhNegifII.png) ![](//storage.proboards.com/1381179/thumbnailer/QBh00cwbJGwQRMIEmfFo.png)

Beautiful speakers, lovely room. Let's talk about the spaghetti behind them towers ๐๐ That is the Legacy listening room where they let the customer sample their actual speaker before the sale. It looks extra rough since the Valors take 4 XLR cables as well as the speaker cable for each side. Hard to keep it clean looking at home but I'm working on it. Scott

Yeah man, a Legacy sign would be fricken' sweet except there's no place to put it and if I did find one I'd look like a shameless fan boy. Scott

I'm with Animo on this one. Could you explain what your HTPC does? How does it work, ect? How much does something like that go for? An HTPC is the ultimate Swiss Army knife for multi-media. You can: - play TV/movies - Youtube - ripped DVD's (whether BR/4k/DVD) - DVD's (BR/4k/DVD) <- for BR and above it tends to be problematic as the software available to play those tends to be buggy and you are better off with a dedicated player - home movies - Any internet subscription service for TV/movies - Netflix - Amazon video - DirecTV - CBS - etc... - play/record over the air TV (with a tuner card which are very cheap) - play/record cable TV (with a cable tuner card which are not pricey but not cheap) - play music - any streaming service free or paid - surf the web (much nicer on a big screen than a tiny monitor) - game - i.e. League of Legends/Call of Duty/etc... to 80's arcade games/Atari 2600/Nintendo/etc.. (via emulators) - All of your digital pictures/movies - family/friends/vacations/etc.. - I'm sure there's more but that's off the top of my head It's the reason I have zero desire for a processor or DVD player (like an OPPO) to have any built in media apps. They're just not needed if you have an HTPC. Note, for all but compressing (Handbrake) or editing video files , your HTPC can be old and slow. CPU power is just not needed to play/display/record (or even rip), so any old clunker you have laying around with an HDMI port on it will work.

As much as I love the Tascam DR-40, it just isn't my DR-100 I miss so much. Fixed today. Getting the DR-100mk.3 and eneloop batteries for the DR-40 and an AC adapter for the DR-100 mk.3. The 100 stays home, the 40 is for out in the field. ![](//storage.proboards.com/1381179/thumbnailer/DyjD0wjSmQkMnfdrm0OT.png) ![](//storage.proboards.com/1381179/thumbnailer/peruKy0fUosaYaQUuXCU.png)

Eneloop NiMhi batteries in the DR-40 and ready for travel. The DR-100 is my studio recorder updated with 1.07 firmware. The Subwoofer was a royal pain but got it how I like it now.
Still don't have the F11 top coat yet.
