Emotiva Airmotiv A1 speakers Going to use them on top of my mains. Can’t find any reviews or comments on them anywhere I'm using them that way. Also using a pair for side surround. I like them. |

Creimes, this is the first time I have not picked up my Emotiva purchases, the van was in the shop and the speakers would not fit in my old Lexus. I missed that part of the purchase, the short journey down and back is tons of fun when I am driving for that purpose.

I went by the local Rotary Club's annual "Trash & Treasure" sale. I got 20 classical CDs on my favorite label (Centaur) in great shape for $20! Some may be duplicates of those I already own, and if so, then some friends will receive gifts. I may have to go back there & get a thicker, larger listening room rug and a tapestry to hang in front of my flat-panel TV when listening to music...

Brand new pair of B1s, courtesy of pdaddy. TA-100, courtesy of Emotiva. Polk PSW111 sub (good deal for $149). 9U small server rack for my Synology 1817 (48TB), TA-100 and switch/shelves/cold storage USB3 drives. Near-field with the B1s and TA-100 are awesome!!!

As I'm pedaling my bike around the neighborhood for exercise, one of the neighbors calls me over. "You want a pair of speakers?" he says - to which I give my usual reply - "Sure! What are they?" "You ever heard of a brand called Magneplanar?" "In fact, I have - What model & do they work?" "They worked when I put them aside, but I haven't used them in years. I couldn't say the model, but bring your van & pick them up!" So I've now got a working pair of MG-II speakers, and they're sounding pretty sharp! And the price was right.  And they sound better with that Ashly pro power amp (500 WPC @ 4 Ohms) than they do with any other amp in the house. |

MCINTOSH MCT-450 SACD Transport
Combined with MC’s proprietary DIN MCT cable for digital DSD to my MC2600 dac the sound is stellar.
More thoughts coming soon

Sold a pair of Klipsch RB61ii and bought a pair of RP600M. We'll see if there is any difference.

Sadly, like most people, I find it very difficult to keep my favorite disinfectants in stock... (Someone keeps drinking them.)
