I know, I know, this isn't real exciting but I bought this dryer vent coupling to cleanup behind my clothes dryer. www.magvent-dryervent.com/If only you saw the boring stuff Amazon has been delivering to MY house this week! But I was just thinking, it's a lot of fun to be able to think about a problem or project, imagine a solution, try to figure out what to CALL the solution, search for it ... and have it within two days! View AttachmentAmazon opened up a warehouse and delivery system in my area at the beginning of the year, so sometimes I'll get my orders the next day, as long as the items are in stock locally.

I'm very disappointed, you didn't get the Carbon Fiber version? That's going to throw off the center of gravity! But I am impressed with the feature that shows approaching traffic behind!

Actually I had hoped to find a version made of aircraft grade titanium, and was told that is an “unrealized” model. As for the center of gravity, I use a 0.000000072mm thicker cleat on my left side shoe to compensate for this.

Well, a month ago I posted I'd bought a new laptop. It died...just less than 30 days ago. The audio wouldn't go off mute, and I learned that it thought it had no audio devices to play through! The laptop's speakers would not play, nor would the wired output or bluetooth earbuds! No troubleshooting could resolve it (believe me, I looked and tried...). Given it was the last day to return it for no charge, it went back. So...I just bought this. It cost 2x what I had, but it's worth it to me. Mark

Added a bit of hardware to my favorite plinker. Tacticon Predator V2 reticle sight. Inexpensive and terrific build quality.

Ear protection. I've been to a great many races over many years, but will be going to my first NHRA Drag Race this weekend!! I've only witnessed one Top Fuel Dragster exhibition burnout for real when Gateway Motorsports Park first opened for the CART Racing Series. It was a short one since the pavement was new, but it was LOUD!! even with sealed ear protection headphones on. So I'm doubling up with these. Not the best, but good enough on short notice. Go TJ Zizzo!!

You forgot a digit. They now have over 11,000HP! I think you're quoting the per-cylinder spec, which is close to 1,500HP.

I heard somewhere recently that the number could be as high as 15,000 with new measuring techniques. When I took my wife to Memphis for the races many years ago we were walking to the track and some cars had just taken off. My wife's eyes got huge and she said I wasn't kidding when I said they were loud. Then I told her those were just Pro Stock cars. Are you going to Indy? Tell Beckman to win one for John.

Didn't know there's a new method to measure the intense power. Yes, The Big Go! I met someone with the TJ Zizzo Team and was invited to go, so I said Heck Yeah! So I'll be there for Sunday final qualifying and Monday Eliminations. And being a Beckman fan, I'll relay your well wishes! He's acclimated really well to John's car. He trained the Force daughters for their NHRA licensing.

It's been quite a few years, like 25 or so, when I attended Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL. You are correct that its hard to describe, I'd compare it somewhat to experiencing the raw power of a shuttle launch at Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral. Enjoy and have fun!!!

Have you had a problem with volume equalization? Playback from Pandora has vast volume swings per song, so much so that I just registered to return the product. WIIM told me that they don’t support it. Have you found that to be true with yours? How do you use it? Thanks for any input you may have.

I stream Tidal and Qobuz through the Wiim but use an external DAC. I notice the volume does vary from song to song, some more than others. Normally I will listen to an entire album at a time so the issue of varying volume doesn't affect me too much. Sorry you had that problem. I don't know if something like that is due to the streamer or to the recordings themselves.

When using an IPHONE OR IPAD the and Emotiva dongle plugged into my UMC-1 I have no such fluctuation. This requires a dedicated I product to stream from and the one I was using has a battery that swelled up and is soon doomed. I’ve worn out one dongle and was fortunate enough to own another. My remedy will be a less expensive Ipad gen 9 to stream from. Until this dongle dies I’m good.

Went there once in 72 or 73 to watch those dragsters Compete. We had a summer place out there and the owner rented the house behind us and gave us tickets so off we went. I was in the high-performance boats for the longest time so loud was something I was used to, but man…… I never went again after that day.
