I just downloaded the user manual for your JVC. If you're up to it, here's something to try... In the settings menu of you JVC, go to "Input Signal", then "HDMI EDID Setting". There should be three options... A, B and C. Select " B". Then, turn off DSC and disable HDR10+. Reboot everything and see what happens... doc1963 Incredibly helpful assistance! I am waiting on my JVC DLA-RS4100 and have made note of this to make sure if the same thing happens with my RMC1 that I have a path forward. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO TO CONTRIBUTE YOUR TIME TO THE COMMUNITY! To sum it up, if you have sufficient cables and u have the same issue after completely rebooting the rmc as previously described, just be sure to reboot the projector after changing the EDID from A to B! In my case, it was all about the reboot of the Jvc.

The RMC-1 doesn't support HDR10+? I've been upgrading my equipment to HDR10+ compatible components! That's disappointing if true. I cannot absolutely swear to it, but I don't think they've added the passthrough bits to support HDR10 + (not to be confused with HDR-10) on the current HDMI 2.0b board. That support will likely come with the HDMI 2.1 board that's currently in the works... I have been in touch with Emotiva for maybe over a year ago about HDR10+ passthrough, still no support. Doesn’t support it.

Hopefully it's a DIY rather than a "send in" of your processor.

Keith - do you have any knowledge regarding this?

I have a Samsung QN65QN90A and have the same problems: (1.) No display/Audio with message displayed on TV "check device power" > sometimes selecting a different Input on remote 1 to 2 back to 1 again resolves this issue. If not, then a REBOOT on the RMC-1 by way of holding down the STANDBY button for FULL reboot aways works. (2.) ARC has always been an issue for me. The common denominator... A Samsung TV. I did have it work with my first Samsung UN55D800 paired with an XMC-1 about 80% of the time. With the New Samsung QN65QN90A (8K) with the 'One connect Box', I have had NO LUCK !!!

Processors/Receivers with HDMI 2.0 supports it today, not all, but many. It’s not OK that you need to buy new hardware (HDMI 2.1) for this feature. Only my opinion.

And of that, it's probably only their own "original content". What's more, your source devices and your display must also support HDR10+. My display does not (and likely never will)...

So out of curiousity, I just checked Crutchfield's website and all of the receivers they are selling that support HDR10+ also have HDMI 2.1. None of the HDMI 2.0b receivers support HDR10+. HDR10 but not plus. Does anyone know if there are any receivers with HDMI 2.0b that support HDR10+? I'm going to take a look at the prepros now. Edit: same is true for the prepros.... Assumption is that Crutchfield's information is correct. So, does that mean HDMI2.0b does not support HDR10+? Pulled this quote off of "Digital Trends": "But wait: Isn’t HDR10+ already possible using HDMI 2.0b? Technically, yes, but it’s not an officially supported technology when done over HDMI 2.0b. HDMI 2.1 makes it official, which in turn should make it highly reliable."

"Dynamic HDR" is part of the HDMI 2.1 spec and would be supported by any AVR/AVP that meets the spec. Having said that, HDMI 2.1 products started rolling out back in 2018-19, so there's already a ton of product out there that will pass it. However, above all else, your display must support HDR10+ otherwise the entire point is moot. Because of its origin, there are several display manufacturers that will never support "HDR10+" regardless of "Dynamic HDR" being part of the HDMI 2.1 spec. As to HDMI 2.0b products... Since Samsung's version of Dynamic HDR (which is HDR10+) was not part of the spec and was not well received, manufacturers were not inclined to support it even though it was entirely possible to do so via firmware (OPPO, for example, did it). FWIW, Sound United never bothered to add HDR10+ support to my AV8805 short of the 2.1 "A" upgrade. Since they added eARC (which also doesn't appear in the 2.0b spec), I'm sure they could have done so...

Putting the words "HDMI" and "highly reliable" together is an oxymoron that should come with severe penalties IME/IMO.

Do you know any movie titles I could search for please? I know there are streaming services which are "said" to be streaming HDR10+, but I really need the movie titles specifically.
