I'd be up for a standalone unit, but let's face it... this would not be the purvey of Emotiva...

Absolutely Yes OR Absolutely NO ? Bias meter makes FAR more sense especially with amps that claim reasonable amounts of class 'A' power.

When I got my SA-250 amps I really thought I would need/want/miss them.
I don't.

there is a Music App called Waves - with 60,000 music net feeds on AppleTV that has visual output to the screen - no Meters or Equalizers but cool graphics some hidden ones as well.

The problem is that these amps are upgradable to additional channels. So how does one adjust to that? I’d think one thing they could possibly do with the current ‘module’ based G3 amps, would be to create a clipping indicator where the blue light turns red.

How about this? linkyIt is even blue... If you run it in landscape mode it shows "Dual Mono" meters. Not super smooth, but you gotta appreciate the effort 🙂

Is the power meter switchable between SS and Tube sections? Also, in the photo I think I see a 20 amp service required. Good. Now you'll need an electrician for most of a day to install all the extra services you'll need. This amp would NEVER be in my system, even if I was a fan of the MC house sound. To make FULL USE of both 'halves' of the amp you'll need a crossover fairly high up.......right where it'll do the most harm, sonically.....

Some of us already have lots of dedicated, isolated ground, 20A circuits. edit: Looks like there are two needles for two scales so the meter is for both Tube and SS concurrently.

Pretty gorgeous amps, just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up there on the price/performance exponential curve.

AH! Right you are. A double movement meter. I put on my Glasses!
Nothing much of interest to me, though. And while YOU have apparently enough circuits, most don't.
The guy running a pair of XPA-2 off a shared 15amp circuit or other abuse of insufficient power.
I'm personally thinking about high sensitivity speakers and less amp power. When this Pandemic
mostly blows over, I'm going to LA and a Klipsch Heritage dealer for a listen to the Forte III

I need to tap into that to feed my amps.

Here's the thing, not every meter is connected to the power output. The old Carver TFM amps connected the meters to the speaker outs, but there's a bunch that meter the input.
I came across a very simple clipping circuit that connects to the speaker outs and lights a LED with a hold-delay when full power is reached.

Best meter is still the Pass implimentation of the BIAS meter.
