Boom, have you looked at or heard the Martin Logan 60xt? Similar to the T2, but higher sensitivity and the ML folded motion tweeter is not as bright. I use a pair for stereo listening on a pair of xpa-100s. Dual 8” aluminum cone woofers play pretty low. They can be had for a steal right now as the xti has replaced the xt.

I’m currently using them in my set-up. I like them a lot. They do take some break-in time to warm up a bit. I run them full range bi-amped with dual SVS 2000 Pros and the lows are smooth and deep.

The full size Double Impacts don't need a sub. IMHO Technically all speakers need and can benefit from a subwoofer. If you prefer them without that's a different approach and personal preference. I'll listen, explain this revelation?

A dual set of SVS SB2000 pro with your actual T2 should be a very nice match for music. I really enjoyed my dual SB3000 with ERT8.3 for listening sessions. Naturally if you prefer the SB3000 with your T2 will blend perfectly and gain a bit in dynamic.

Great subs and multiples work wonderfully in a mid-size room.

Anyway sealed subs for music is what it needs. Not at all. It's not about "quantity" it's about creating a uniform sound field. Two in teh front and one on each side wall. In my current living room I have two subs in the front, two on side walls, and a 4X15-inch driver IB in the ceiling.

You're right, in a difficult room for bass, adding more subs in differents areas is the solution.

I've heard them - I honestly don't think they're much of an improvement (if any at all) over my T2 speakers. Different? Yes. Better? Maybe not... I get pretty spiffy performance from my T2s - but they ARE highly picky about both placement and amplification.

I've reached the end of my rope with subwoofers. I want some full-range speakers. Full-range, in my definition, having a -3dB anechoic response at 30 Hz. (or lower). I think that I've narrowed down the contenders to but two, but there are a LOT of speakers still out there that I'm unfamiliar with... I'm also not interested in buying used and having to possibly scrounge for repair parts should the used speakers break. New speakers I'm considering include the Tekton Double Impact models and the GoldenEar Triton 2+ models. Although the Double Impacts seem to be $1K cheaper, the GoldenEars can be bought at discount - the Tektons can't. What sound do I want? I'd like (but won't get) phase coherent. I'd like a smooth frequency response, but with very good dynamics. Think Thiels on steroids... So those are my criteria - and once again - NO USED MODELS. Thanks - BoomaDooma Stay away from TEKTON !!! I have been waiting over 2mo now and still dont have any speakers,I have called them numerous times and be givin the runaround..They cant keep up with there demand and are most likely building there more expensive speakers for the customers who spend more money,,As if 3000.00 isnt enough..Really upset with them..Going to get a refund on monday and take my buisness eleswhere!!! Really? Hmm I received my speakers within 5 days of ordering.

Problem he has 400 speakers to build and not enough people or time to do it..the sale that he continued thru christmas then into pandemic has put him about 6mo behind..i saw a set for sale on audiogon .guy said he wsited six months!
