Swapped out a power cable this morning... Full wall to wall carpet would yield more sonic gain in that room than every single foot of wiring EXOTICA on display in those pictures. I should correct that actually, since the wires add ZERO gain over conventional spec. If looking at wires is your bag then clearly, you’ve got it made in the shade! Bill

There’s lots of coin in those pictures. I don’t understand who would want to put such things out for display and then Not want to talk about it? It’s ok…no one has to, but for 40 years I made my paycheck doing electrical work. In my business, the materials are relatively cheap compared to the labor but here in many instances such as this it’s backwards

In my business, the materials are relatively cheap compared to the labor but here in many instances such as this it’s backwards I understand, And while I agree w/ you I offer my perspective. Call it me conforming to my Asian heritage/stereotype or whatever. What I can appreciate is a sense of perfection. I mean, ever see a Japanese ceremonial tea party? If so, you'll note every placement of cups etc are precise, every movement in serving is precise, etc etc.... while the tea may taste the same no matter how served there's something special about the amount of care .... While I don't bite into the expensive cables ect what I do appreciate about anything in life is a sense of perfection. Let's admit that there's often a balance between form and function when taking form into account. Any of us that are married can relate! And while I agree a simple inexpensive wire w/ a crimp on the end may offer the same medium as top tier wiring etc there's something special about the skill and perfection obtained by tedious worksmanship. Anyhoot, when I go to a 5 star hotel or dinning out at place extravagant the last thing I want is for my food to be slopped on the plate and hear, "come and get it before I serve it to the dogs!" You get my point I'm sure as presentation does mean something - especially in our hobby audiophile where psychoacoustical effects seemingly make a lot of things better or worse! Damn the power of suggestion! Now hit me brother Bill! I have thick skin and love to wrestle w/ my brothers! Enjoy, William

Enjoy, William Nothing beats “stealth” wiring of the proper resistance that’s neatly tucked away and cost effective. You never need worry about it….but when you throw the switch it blows your socks 🧦 off! I do like his Sony Blu-ray player. I have the pre ultra HD version of the same unit. Bluetooth devices can be paired to it which is a nice bonus feature

But that's because I don't spend much time on my Amazon purchased wiring or home made wiring Someone w/ OCD and/or CEWD or compulsive expensive wiring disorder might be offended by my flavor of spaghetti!

IF...
You don't believe in expensive cables, fine. You don't believe they make a sound difference, fine. You have never heard a difference in cables, fine. You think it's just all in my head, fine.
Do me and everyone else a favor and keep it to yourself.
Don't come on here preaching to me, attempting to reason with me and talk me into your way of thinking. I don't want to hear it, period.

Go back and read… All I said was carpeting would help immeasurably and those wires help nothing. Have you tried carpeting or room treatment in there? ….And when someone posts pictures there is ALWAYS an assumption that they’re open for commentary. Surely you couldn’t post a shot of a garden hose running to a stereo and not expect someone to ask you about it. That said what did you hear that was different and what about the wiring that runs to the outlet behind that wall?

One of the fundamental problems w/ our society today is the lack of midget entertainment. Midgets were muscled out by Hollywood actors and singers both of which I consider Jesters for my entertainment purposes but too outrageously paid. While I'm ranting I can't stand it when my wife tells about the personal life of an actor - I'm like, don't know don't care. All I care about is the character being played on the screen and couldn't care less about the actors themselves. I mean some wanna give Robert De Niro a soap box and ask him about his political views..... I'm like don't you have some balls to juggle? Now make me laugh... I know I know I'm evil:
