Jason Bonham with Foreigner - live 2008 on Blu-Ray. The entire show is excellent, the drum solo is outstanding. I could not find a decent video clip of it.

youtu.be/CAtf8Q8Mu6QThomas lang….. this guy is a sick puppy just discovered him about three weeks ago. Check it out if you can… Simon Phillips has tons of great solos on YouTube to check out. The night I discovered Thomas Lang was because I was on YouTube, listening to Simon Phillips, and saw the link took a chance holy sh**

Ginger. Toad. That is all. Solo begins about a minute in. From an audio perspective that live at Royal Albert Hall cream concert is one of the best live recordings I have, and I’ve got it on Blu-ray… First time I heard it was when it was available as a Netflix rental on DVD

I've been a fan of his for years. I also like Gavin Harrison, Simon Phillips and Kenny Aronoff. I've actually met both Phillips and Aronoff. Both singed a pic for me at the NAMM Show in Anaheim. Super cool and friendly guys. Also met Mike Portnoy. Great drummer but not so friendly. Years ago I saw Buddy Rich play at Disneyland. I actually sat about 10' from him. Without doubt the best drummer I'd ever seen play live. His daughter was the singer in his group. Very talented as well.

Quite frankly I don't think it gets any better than this. Slick groove, tasteful chops..............the really good solo stuff starts around 4:20.

Ginger. Toad. That is all. Solo begins about a minute in. And he barely breaks a sweat. When I was young and playing drums I tried to copy that solo and invariably broke one or more sticks on the parts I could play...
