Wow, that’s a surprise, according to the article we only have one device now ... “ But with the rise of streaming services over the past few years, universal remotes are no longer as crucial as they once were.”

Yep me too. I was on the fence about buying one. Figured it’s now or never. Ordered one from a local Best Buy. I’ll pick it up tomorrow. Bit the bullet and got the Elite.

I have a few of their remotes. I’ll guess that support will disappear soon as well, therefore I’ll be backing up my remotes and I’ll copy a couple of them so if one dies Illa still have another. It’s truly sad to see them go away..

They say they will be still providing support and upgrades. Just done manufacturing. I guess we’ll see how that goes.

I have two Logitech Harmony remotes and would hate to be inconvenienced by losing them. Glad to hear they'll be continuing support! Let's hope that the long term reliability of the remotes are outstanding!

It’s truly sad to see them go away.. Even if their database went away as long as the Harmony software works the remote learning capability is well worth keeping them for. I really dig how I can just point another remote into the Logitech remote and through the software it'll learn the command. Beats those days when you had to add a 4-16 digit numbers and if it weren't right keep trying until you landed upon the right code!

Also disappointed. I'm glad they say they are going to continue supporting it, but I'm skeptical (as usual). It's a good PR move now and then I wouldn't be surprised if they back off that promise. It wouldn't be the first time Logitech left users out to dry.

Does this include the Harmony Hub remotes? What a pity. I don't know if there are other services like this one that integrate with Alexa through my echo dot AND provide a physical remote at the same time.

I own two....the One and the 650. I'm skeptical that they will support these long term. As a good friend of mine said..."follow the money".
Maybe another company will pick up the slack for universal remotes.

Losing the remotes isn't that big of a deal if they will continue the production of the Harmony Hub. They can just push everything to app control via phones and just worry about 1 SKU with the hub.

Meh, I have to add a step to use my phone as a remote by unlocking it. That one step ... is an added step that's undesirable for me in contrast of just picking up an unsecure remote and operating it. But you're right, something I didn't think about.... hopefully if Logitech says bye bye in support and no longer offers another company will offer what consumers desire. However, I'm not certain how a wifi device can operate an infrared device except through the hub in which you suggested. Looks like the flock is being forced into an area by the sheep dogs!

Years ago Logitech also stopped selling Squeezebox music systems but mysqueezebox.com/ is still available. So I have good hopes that for the upcoming years Logitech will keep the Harmony website operational.

Hoping the same for my Harmony remotes...

I guess they expect us to use our phones, and Alexa, for everything from now on...

Be kind to the Logitech remotes. You drop them. They break. I had a friend with the same model as mine. Broke 3 of them. Made of plastic with like glass innards inside. I treat mine well. So far so good. They are not the deadly weapon metal build an Emotiva Remote is. I love metal remotes. But I get why Logitech wants to say bye bye to remotes.

My kids destroyed my Logitech Ultimate remote. I replaced it with the keyboard remote I had laying around, it's still alive!
