New podcast just released. They talked alittle about 'the processor' -they don't mention exactly which processor but I hope/assume they are talking about the + series- is in testing now and more beta testers will be added around Thanksgiving. Also said that the product pages will be released in December and hopefully the processors will go on sale in January IIUC. I will re-listen to get more details, and suggest you all check it out. I just listened - the processor they refer to is clearly the + series. Sounds like it's overall going well with fast switching. Some details to be addressed, but they didn't say anything about what specifically needs addressed. Mark

I recall Keith's comments a while ago about the perspective that a the final sound quality of a piece of kit is the sum of its parts and not just which dac it has. Having been involved in some design work with a couple of companies as an alpha tester in house ( mainly computer and not audio) I really learnt the hard way to appreciate this design perspective 🤣. Take the example of op-amps and how they are used in an audio signal in so many stand alone and integrated units. Design and choice together with board layout plus power supply choices can all influence to varying degrees the baked cake 🎂🎂. Here's a nice little meander down the op amp path.....a UK tech ( I like Mark - he's a Brummie - but I don't hold that against him) breaks down a £25K phono preamp for repair and reverse engineers the design in the process. He provides a nice little op amp design chat as part of the video. You can decide for yourself if you think this preamp is worth US $31,000 🤣👍💯 youtu.be/-RJbpFSFziI?si=nE5AKmvjikHakVRn

Just reading through the updated FAQ and noticed the upgrade program is gone? Am I blind or has this been removed? Can those of us with early XMC-2's no longer upgrade to the + model for $699?

It looks like all Processor inventory is gone and the web page has been reduced to bare-bones. This may be a good sign, first remove outdated information and then, update. Bolded for emphasis. - Rich
