Hi as stated in the thread title, I am getting an UNDISK message and the erc-3 will not play any disks. Its been quirky with the open/close for a while now...Sometimes this would happen and then I would have to open and sort of give it a nudge as it closed and then it would always work. Now I can not get it to work at all.
Any idea what this message means or what the issue is. Do I need to send it to be repaired?
Thanks Todd

Seems like the same problem gdhal had. See his post. Okay I see that you already posted on his post.

theebs, emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/60385/erc-loading-tray-stuck-closedIn your case, are you able to insert a disk onto the tray, close the tray, and then receive the UNDISK message? In my case, UNDISK displayed as a result of the tray not opening, and my subsequently pressing the tray close button. So there was no disk on the tray. After opening the unit and getting the tray to open, once I inserted a disk and closed to the tray, the UNDISK message cleared.

All -
I have received a response from Emotiva support. It reads:
Thanks for reaching out. "Undisk" basically means the same as "No Disc", or indicates a disk read error. If the transport was getting stuck mechanically, this would be likely to happen if the CD player is trying to read a disk but the disk is not actually there, for example. So nothing out of the ordinary, just a No Disk error. I hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else.
