Does anyone remember Manix? Yep, he crashed a car every week.  Some previous model year cars were "held over" by changing the front/rear lights so they could continue to use the mules for the hard stuff. The cars of Mannix: This Toronado was never offered for sale to the public because it didn't exist. There is no top, just a boot for the top.  My favorite Mannix car, Dodge Dart GTS in a color not offered for production.       |

Interesting about the show Mannix, and all the fluff meaning of the cars and such… I recognize the actors, but I can’t remember a single story from any episode of the program… It’s that memorable! I can remember plenty of the episodes. Like the one in which someone was chasing him. And he gets into a fight. And then he gets into a car crash. And shoots someone. Then there's that other episode where he get into a car crash. And someone is chasing him. He shoots someone after getting into a fight. And that brings to mind still another episode. This one he shoots someone. Then the car crashes. And someone is chasi |

TV Cars? Quite a range.....from the 'made up' thing driven by Hasselhoff to
MY two favoites.
#1 The LOTUS 7 driven by The Prisoner.
#2 The Sunbeam Tiger driven by #86.....I think it was powered by a Ford V8.....

Lawrence Welk lived to be 89, so it couldn't have been THAT big a scam!
Lawrence Welk Village is maybe 15 miles from me. This is the timeshare / resort / golf AND dinneer theater setup.
I've ridden by dozens of times on my bicycle. The main road is a hill maybe 5 miles from bottom to top in 2 major steps.
In the summer you'll DIE om that hill unless you bring plenty of water. And hope the wind is blowing for cooling.....

They have their OWN water wells so they can actually afford to WATER the grass.......
But I was a caddy one summer when I lived in the South 'Burbs of Chicago and can attest to the fact that GOLF is FLOG spelled backwards.......
Thought I have since attended a couple REAL tourneys (When Ls Costa had the Tournament of Champions for 3 decades), the last few were played nearly Under Water.....!!
Watching the BEST is really interesting but Those with Handicaps higher than their AGE is sheer torture! Using a Driver on a par 3 should not be allowed....
I lived in Florida for a few years and NOTHING beats a 'Water Hazard' where the hazard is a flipping 9 foot Aligator.....

The SON of Tim Conway is a talkshow guy on KFI......A Los Angles AM radio outlet, which you can tell from the 3 letter call sign is ALSO a clear channel station which can be heard.....under proper conditions......a LONG ways away....
