We're pretty big into college basketball this year. A Japanese player, Rui Hachimura from my wife's town is the star in Spokane, Worshington on the Gonzaga #1 NCAA team. I thought I was familiar with most of the colleges in the USA. However, when I looked at some of the college names on ESPN I was left scratching my balls nuts! Excuse my ranguage but where in the hell is IUPUI? Sounds like one of those Islands or archipelagos like Fuji, Tokelau, Tuvalu or Puitu. ESPN says IUPUI is in the Horizon League. Must be out there on the horizon somewhere? Then on the web I see this photo of a young chick with a Bost University shirt. Where the hell heck is Bost University?  BTW: Hachimura is correctly pronounced: HAW-Chee-Moo-Raw The "a" vowel in Japanese is always pronounced like in saw, raw, Haha Davis, Aloha and He-Haw. Never like in hat, cat, pay or day. There will be a quick quiz tomorrow. How to pronounce Rui in tomorrow's class. PS: Hatch-chee-mure-rah is no good, baka gaijin! |

I actually saw that long IUPUI abbreviation at the ESPN website awhile back.
Then when I spotted the young lady in the Bost University t-shirt it gave me
ammunition for a phony post about strange university names so I could include
her photo. Recognize her by any chance? I threw in Rui's name cause a number
of the announcers are mispronouncing it.
