Still have it on hold because of my eye problems.
I thought I was on the mend, but the condition appears to be coming back again. I hope we can do this in the next few weeks. I'll keep everyone posted. Besides, there's no place to park right now with all the snow.

Ok, after a few phone calls and schedule shuffling, it seems like I am ready to pull this together. A date for next Saturday, April 3rd, has been tossed up at me, but if that is not enough notice for some people, we can push it back to the 10th of April.

Get back to me, and let me know which date works best. I have a small apartment, but could care less if we fill it to the rafters. Anyone that is near, close or passing through Brooklyn NY is more than welcome to attend.

CRAP!!! Of all the rotten luck. I can't make Sat 4/3 but if the gtg gets pushed back to 4/10 I may be able to make it.

I think it's best to wait for the Holidays to pass.
Therefore, next week is out, and It appears that

Barry, glad you will be coming. The main reason for this year's GTG was to show off my eD sub, homemade speakers in their designed surroundings, and some people wanted to check out the ERC-1. I have the Oppo BDP-83, but, if anyone wants to compare a CD player to the ERC, I would suggest bringing that. I assume the Threshold is an amp. If you want to bring it that's up to you. Bear in mind, I have a small place and swapping out equipment may get dicey, at best. But by all means don't let that base your decision.

For everyone that comes, I will have plenty to snack on, and will probably order in some pizza for shear convenience, although I was toying with firing up the BBQ, but I've been told that may get too involving, and I want to keep things as simple as possible. I have a few bottles of wine in the fridge, and extra beer is never frowned upon, so feel free to bring your favorites.

The way it looks right now, we have 5 confirmed with 2 maybes.....looking for more!!

Well the Threshold is an amp, and it's about 70 lbs and 125 watts of Nelson Pass pure Class A mosfet power, hence a beast to move around. Since space is tight, I'll leave it home. I may just bring my Sony CDP-XA20ES cd player to compare to the ERC-1 though.

Light equipment should be no trouble to plug into the system, but switching out big heavy amps could get to be a pain. Don't forget to bring your favorite demo CDs. I know Wideawake will be bringing some Indian music .....can't wait.

Also, there is a decent selection of places to choose for lunch.
Pizza, Chinese, I even have a take out on my corner that does fried and/or rotisserie chicken, ribs, burgers, and cold cut sandwiches. Let me know what you guys think.....after thinking about it myself, by the looks of the size of our crowd, it might be easiest to walk to the corner when we decide to have lunch, and just leave my place for the auditions, light snacks, beer & wine.

I'm in... Got the clearance from Mrs. Jedi. After my kid's class on Sat I'm there. Finally..

I'll bring some demo CDs as well. Nothing weird or out of the ordinary just some tracks I really like and am familiar with.

I can also bring my Sumo Nine Plus Class A amp if you guys want to listen. It isn't too heavy just slightly difficult to place due to it's height. That and you can only connect banana plugs into it. No bare wire.

With my rack and limited space, it might be rough to swap out amplifiers. I already turned down a Threshold, but MrBen is bringing his DIY DAC, and someone else is bringing another CD player to compare. Small things I think I can manage. Besides, I thought you just wanted to check out the sub.

Just bring your demos, an appetite and a thirst for beer!!!

Not sure what parking is like, but I doubt it's plentiful, bridge tolls are nothing to scoff at, and there's the environment to consider as well

Or another depending what's convenient. The 80-95 spot is where I work, so we could put the cars left behind into secured covered parking. The 3-95 spot is a shopping mall so free parking is available.
