Looking to plan a second Get Together in Brooklyn, shortly after the New Year. This time will be at my place. Would love to compare a UMC-1 to my Outlaw970, but I realize this may be difficult to do. Not looking to match feature for feature, just want to be able to compare Sound Quality. Seeing that Nick and I are waiting on XMC-1s, I would imagine that UMC & XMC SQ would be relatively similar.

I think your sub is the reason the country is in the sub zero temps - it`s crated a black hole where all the high temp is being sucked into

Just wanted to bring this back into view. Looks as though I might have to push this back into Feb. I have been having some health problems regarding my eyes, and it has not been a smooth road. Will keep posting as a date becomes more clear.....no pun intended!!!

I have a condition called RCERecurrent Corneal ErosionBasically, I had a scratch on the cornea many years ago. The only thing that comes to mind happened almost 25 years ago when my nephew stood up in his crib and jabbed his toothbrush into my left eye. The doctor said that that could have been the starting point. It healed on it's own and never bothered me again until recently. Anyway, what happens is the epithelial tissue starts to grow back at night during sleep. Since new cells are forming they stick to everything, including my eyelids. When I wake up, or go through periods of REM during my sleep, the eyelid rips the new healing cells off my cornea causing extreme pain and the sensation like a hot poker stabbing me in the eye. Not to mention the feeling of constantly having something in my eye. I have been going through this, on and off, since late June, with a peak in the condition since Thanksgiving. Even went through a procedure where the surgeon last week, took a 34 thread needle and made about 10 small punctures in the cornea itself. If this continues, the next step is a laser procedure to remove the entire surface layer of the cornea, and start all over. Boy has this been fun........ NOT!!! Anyway, hoping to get past this so I can get everything ready for Bklyn GTG II

wow, that sounds like alot to deal with.
Don't worry about pushing yourself for the GTG. When you're all better, let us know, and good luck with everything.
Take care.
