I found some of the older thread in Speakers talking about these and figured they deserved their own thread.
2 Questions:
1. what is the status of these (particularly the ERS-110)
2. how do they compare to the Ultra subs

2 is easily answered - they have a fancy EQ system included and better cabinets, possibly more than that. Question 1 is the real one we would like answered. I really want new subs but also really want to see what the 112 and 212 are like.

The ERS-112 really intrigues me but dual subs, ie: ERS-212 has started to creep into my subconscious thought!!! ;D

Yeah... and the more I think about it, the more I am comfortable with dual subs

Me too, as someone here mentioned, you can always turn them down. You can only turn them up so much.

Multiple subs lend themselves to better integration in the listening room. They will react better, often canceling room resonances and create a smoother sound.

I think I was saying the same thing back in January............ of 09......... I am tired of waiting for nothing. I kinda wish I would have got in on the svs sb12 plus in rosenut before they sold out. However svs is coming out with 3 new sealed subs this year according to their website so we will see if they can deliver sooner than emo. Uls 15's would be cool but seem a little expensive.

I'm definitely a patient man, but lately I have been looking very seriously at the SVS PB12 Plus. If I do go this route at least I know I'm getting quality, but I would definitely like to see the final specs on the ERS series. Options are always a good thing!

Just before purchasing my eD sub in July, I had spoken with Lonnie. You see the direction I went.

Unfortunately that something was actually the ultra subs which were also supposed to be out sooner than they were. I can understand delays, but I was getting antsy for a sub, and for the same price point, I decided to build the eD sub. He also said, he wouldn't hold it against me if I didn't want to wait for the ERS since he couldn't give me a definite time frame.

They have said several times that after the UMC is out subs will get attention. I am gonna make a wild guess that there hasn't been a lot of extra time to devote just yet Jeb

No talk of the ers212's in today's webcast..... Well my father in law just got a rosenut uls15 on sale and its incredible.. Maybe I will go that direction... During today's webcast, Big Dan tried to sneak out some info on the ERS subs but Cathy quickly cut him off. Not sure just how to interpret that, but if I was tuned into Dan's line of thought I think they will be in line to be produced right after the Ultra Series get rolling. Previous to today's webcast, the last I heard anything about the ERS subs was at EMOFEST. At that time, it was revealed that the design was locked in and that they had "bill of material" components in stock and were waiting for a slot in the production line to open up. Dan said to expect them during the first quarter of 2010 -- this was before the delay of producing the UMC-1. How much of a delay this put into seeing the ERS subs get a production slot is unknown. The fact that Dan was wanting to give us more input during todays Webcast makes me feel the light at the end of the tunnel is about to become visible. Okay, Okay. I am being optomistic, but I have been drooling over the design for these subs for so long my belly buttom is chapped.

Hi, ERS subs are in the hopper, and you're right, the UMC-1 took a lot of bandwidth, so other digitally based projects took a back seat for a while. We're back on track Regards, Big Dan
