Just curious, what exactly makes you think the ERS's are going to be released this year? |

Just curious, what exactly makes you think the ERS's are going to be released this year? You may have missed it, but Big Dan posted on the Lounge in early Feb that he was putting the ERS series subs back into the pipeline and looks for an introduction later this year. Base upon what the expected intro date was last year (before troubles with the UMC delayed it) that should mean a late summer or third quarter introduction. This is just an educated guess and barring any unexpected problems should be pretty close. ;D |

yeah, I remember Dan saying that, but to be honest, there has been so little information on the ERS since February, I doubt we will see them any time soon.

It was said that there would be a few surprises at Emofest. Maybe just maybe the ERS subs are going to be an Emofest surprise.......

Big Dan indicated it would be a third quarter introduction when he put it back into the "hopper" earlier this year. I had been wondering about the same thing this past couple of months... it would be a nice suprise. |

I hate to say it, as much as I want the ERS subs to be introduced at EmoFest, but with all the resources being split with all the other products in the pipe and the continuing work on the UMC-1, I am beginning to think the ERS is likely to be late this year or maybe early 2011. I hope I am wrong, I have been wanting these subs for nearly two years now, but my gut keeps rumbling "Christmas at the earliest" and I haven't even been eating beans. ;D Now if Big Dan will only prove me wrong at EmoFest...  |

Any word on the 212's at Emofest? To add to Judd's info, though the ERS-212's are a ways off, there X-Series subs due out in early 2011, if I remember my information correctly. The 12in sub will be powered by a 500w amp and the 15in by a 1000w amp, so not all is slow on the subwoofer front. Also the Ultra Subs will now be offered in a new satin lacquer finish, that looks really nice. |
