Quite easy, and I also agree with the reasoning behind multiple subs. Heck, I may even build another sometime soon. If you decide to build another one, a friendly suggestion would be to sell of the 13's and try 4 of the 5.12's. You might be surprised how this speaker performs with the dual 13s. Besides, If I did that, I would have to build 2 more speakers. I like things that match, I'm sorta anal that way!!!! ;D

Great drivers. You could literally keep the 1300watt plate amp you have and drive 4 5.12's off it. Alot of cone space with 4 12's! ;D

Or you could run a pair of dual boxes in a master/slave config with that one plate amp, or 4 individual boxes again in a master/slave/slave/slave config. To keep things simple Id do dual 12" sealed boxes. ;D

To above thread. For the amount of money he is most likely spending to get that last .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% in audio fidelity is on the order of insane. Give anyone a real world budget of $5-10K and a little ingenuity you can most likely achieve the same results. Some people just have too much money and time on their hands.......... Someone should slap the guy who originated this project right across the face and tell him to wake up, LOL! Tell him to go feed a hundred thousand poor hungry souls for a week with the money he wasted on that project.

I'm looking for low distortion: Typically a woofer has an electrical limit (Power and efficiency determine the SPL at this limit) and an acoustic limit (By x-max and cone size). Larger cones and x-max produce more bass but also typically increase non-linear distortion. You want a very rigid cone to descrease this distortion. The sub should have a thick wall. The midrange should be filtered and absorbed. Then it needs to be paired with a high quality amp. I say if money and size is not a problem go with many stacked subs. I would buy: www.madisound.com/manufacturers/scan-speak/revelator-speakers/subwoofer.phpin multiple's of 5 and run one XPA-5 per 5 woofers. Put them each in a 1.2 cubic foot sealed enclosure and stack. Use 1" MDF for the walls or thicker. 2 towers (10 subs total) should give you about 120 dB over the bass range. More and you will need to reinforce your house. The scan speak drivers typically have some of the lowest distortion available albeit at a high price. (Zaphaudio.com)
