^^ Oops, too late... This isn't the best spot to find out. Just call them, and they'll take care of you...

hmmm ask the entire planet indirectly or ask the source directly...
one of these is more effective.

When did you return your unit? After you ship it to Emotiva, however long that takes, they will have to examine it to make sure you returned it in good condition and with all the included accessories. Once that quick check is done, Emotiva will then initiate the processing to refund your money.
The catch in getting you money back depends on how you paid for it. If you paid by credit card, the bank's processing center will take 10 to 15 days (normally) to issue the credit on your account. As you can see, it could easily take two to three weeks from the date you shipped your RMA unit back to Emotiva before your "card issuer" posts the refund. The banks are notoriously slow in returning your money to you.
If it has been longer than three weeks since you shipped your unit back to Emotiva, call Cathy and find out what the problem is. She should be able to tell you the date they issued the refund request. If that date was longer than the 10 to 15 days the card issuer takes to process the credit to your account, you need to call BOTH the card issuer and Emotiva to find out what the delay has been caused by. Make sure you know which credit card you initially made your purchase with. The most common problem in processing refunds is asking for a credit on the wrong account number.
Be patient, if you can, your card issuer has no incentive to quickly handle requests for refunds. Too bad they don't respond as quickly in returning your money as they do in taking it. ;D

You all sure are touchy. I returned it about 2 weeks ago and the only reason I posted was because I read Dan's post that only one had been returned and I pointed out that wasn't true. I wrote to Emotiva today and they said "it is in the que" to be checked out. SInce I didn't even open it, there shouldn't be much to check out so I am not sure how that works. Again, I wouldn't have thought twice about it EXCEPT THAT DAN SAID ONLY ONE HAD BEEN RETURNED.
As far as first post, so what. I have bought emotiva stuff and have several pieces (two amps and two pre-amps and speakers) so maybe the smell is on you.
It might behoove the group here to not turn people away from Emotiva by being too quick to judge. I know I won't return. It is a good thing i don't judge a company by their customers!

I agree just because its his first post don't crucify him. We all started with one post at some point.
But on the other hand, we've had plenty of first posters that all they do is come here and bash Emotiva, and there is very little tolerance for it, and I can see how some forum members my come to that conclusion.
I do agree that it would have been better to contact them directly rather than air it out here on the forum, but that's your decision.
Wait, you didn't even open it...now who's too quick to judge??

You waited maybe years for the umc, then you confirmed a while back, then you submitted cc info recently. Then you recieved it when others were begging for it,then you returned without opening.........When Dan said one return that may have been his current info, don't be to quick to judge. What you do is your own biz but you must understand why some are confused/skeptical,good luck and I'm sure you will get whatever you have coming.

Ok, one more and then I am gone. If I made a mistake I should not have asked to check on it, but that does not excuse Dan from saying on 1/29 that only one had been returned. You all seem to just gloss right over that statement and go straight to why didn't you contact direct. Do you know why Dan said only one was returned? There are at least two. The reason I didn't open it was because I was worried about the 30-days going by without the reported bugs being addressed. Better safe than sorry. That said I am out of here, the rumors of this place apparently are true. Audios.

I get suspicious whenever a first post by a new member is a slam. Sorry, but there have been too many trolls on this forum and elsewhere in the Interwebz for my liking. I am just gun shy about trolls. Sorry if the OP took offense.

While it hasn't been posted officially. Emotiva is extending the 30 days based on when the new firmware comes out.
It still boggles my mind that we've waited this long, you get one, and based on what you read on the forum, you decide not to open it, and just return it. Oh well.
I think you owe me $1,000,000.00. There I said it on a forum, that means you must believe it without checking it out, please PM me for my address. ;D
*Edit, I rarely get into these types of threads, but I like others are a bit tired of all the crap, from both sides.
