Watched Zombieland on Blu- Good Fun ;D
Not much of a workout except for some shotgun blasts, but if you like Zombies, it is a pretty good flick. It's got a great cameo by Bill Murray.

The Hurt Locker Great movie on Blu-ray with excellent subwoofer's delineation from a powerful DTS-HD MA soundtrack, and with all the small particules of sound (small rocks falling) very well represented. The film itself is a tour-de-force, with efficient impact on the senses and mind. * Simply highly recommended viewing. Agreed. Excellent BD and great movie! |

Just watched Forrest Gump the other day. Weirdest sound mix I've ever heard. I thought there was something wrong with my surrounds, turns out they just werent being used. Save for one or two scenes all the sound was from the front. Still sounded great; dialogue was perfect, staging was spot on and LFE, when used, was very forceful. Just kinda wished they would've utilized the surrounds more. I mean I payed for these speakers.

My wife had me watch ( the burning plan ) last night O MY GOD what a slow boring movie the only good part visualy and audio wise was the trailer exploding in the beginning and 2/3 in of the movie , I told her if she`s bored just stab me for some drama next time - O and the nudity didn`t help nether

Last night, I rewatched (yup, 2nd time) "Michael Jackson's This Is It". ...On BD of course.
* Wow! He's he a Dancer or what! And these punchy musical Beats, do they resonate in your chest or what!
And check this out: on the Special Features, one is called "The Glove"; it's about the costumes that Jacko was supposed to wear for his shows. Just WOW!
This Blu-ray is simply awesome in all it's contents; the Sound, the Music, the Lights, the Colors, the Dancing, the Costumes, the Behind the Scenes, the Special Features,... All in All.
Just check it out.

So...what did you think of Zombieland? Just watched it last night; awesome! Well, sort of... My mini review: I like the opening credits, very cool.  Then, the zombies, what can I say, they walk the walk, and they don't talk much. But they do fall down superbly with a very nice splash of blood when blasted by a shotgun, or knocked down by an open door from a rolling SUV. What else, oh ya, I like it at the supermarket when Woody takes care of those three (or was it four?, can't remember for sure) big fat basterds. Lol, , tha was a good one... Well, that's about it. ...Good for Fun if you like this kind of stuff, and even more so with a bunch of drunken buddies. * Was this a good review? |

But what about you Chuckie? Did you watch it personally? No, but it is on my list. I find the Rotten Tomatoes movie review site an excellent barometer for finding good movies. Last night I watched Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls starring Desiree Cousteau. Ya, anybody knows about 'Rotten Tomatoes', but that don't tell us much about our own vision, does it? * All right, now you got it; "Hot and Saucy Pizza Girls". On BD? You like it? Learn something new from it? Your wife like it too? Who's Desiree Cousteau? Daughter of the famous fisherman? Got a review for us, from your own personal 'barometer' factor? |

Last night I watched Band of Brothers episode 3. I watched the first two sat. night. Don't ask me how I haven't seen this yet, but I haven't. Received it as a gift. WOW, very good stuff. The picture and sound on Blu is awesome, especially for a HBO series. Will probably finish this series this week and into the long weekend. I'm sure most of you have seen it, but if you haven't, it is a must see.
