Monster's Inc., took advantage of the Disney upgrade to Blu-Ray promotion. It looked simply amazing on Blu-Ray and the sound was just as good. Besides being a great movie it has to be one of the best Blu-Ray's I've seen so far.

Besides being a great movie it has to be one of the best Blu-Ray's I've seen so far. I've got to purchase that one yet. It is on my list for quite some time now. |

'Surrogates', for the third time! But this time I didn't fell asleep, wow!
Conclusion: this movie totally sucks! And it's got that shiny digital look that is so plastic & fake.
... And the end really sucks too, I was glad it was over.

Well what do you know. Last night I rewatched '2012' and I felt asleep again!
* This is the third time now this week! And second time in as many nights that I passed out!
I need new med to keep me alive (at least til the year 2012).

'The Hurt Locker'. I luv the audio soundtrack. One of the very best for subwoofer definition, very accurate, powerful, precise, impactful, derivative, very well recorded, realistic, magic, and superb.
And the storyline is great with some very cool scenes.
A true winner in my book, one of the very best in recent memory.

I thought Inglorious Basterds and Up in the Air were better. Also, I have a few EOD friends in the AF and Army who laugh at that movie. The movie makers took many liberties with EODs protocal. In my opionion, if you make a movie that is supposed to be ultra-realistic about the military, the people who do the job in the military should not be laughing at your movie. |

2012 , it was OK and I thought my subs would of got more of a work out with that movie also the sound track was really disappointing

Hurt Locker: I can't imagine that the folks who made it would say it was supposed to be super realistic. Movies never are nor can they be. If nothing else the time compression makes them abstract.
I liked it. My brother in law is EOD for the Israelis. That his unit is sort of separated/independent from the rest of the service and all the hijinks that stem from that is something he talks about. The sort of fatalistic mind screw that is EOD work is another issue.
I thought the development of James character through the movie was excellent.
