Last Friday I called Tier 2 to give all the hex codes for the Harmony One & 900 remote. They added in all the codes to my account but I noticed the dim and power off/on doesnt work. I erased the UMC-1 device from my account and now I'm back to square one! I called today but Tier 2 is closed for the Ontario holiday. I recommend just using the codes that we need and currently work for Harmony remotes, which are the ones I uploaded to my website. Hope this information helps someone These hex codes work and don't mess up any other functions:DOLBYVOL AUX1 AUX2 AUX3 AUX2 TUNER DVD SAT VCR CABLE Here's the link: www.vocallytalented.com/codes.txt

...After your 90 days the e-mail support option disappears off your support page and the only way to get codes added is darn near impossible....Getting Harmony to add the codes to each account is a major PITA!!! What 90-day period? My Harmony One is more than two years old and Logitech added the codes without any questions. All I did was send them the hex-codes via their webform inside the Harmony software. It took them all of 4 hours, on a Friday night, to get the codes added. Excellent support, I think. Where is this webform at exactly?

Any page within the Harmony program, upper right inside the "hints & tips" box there's a small yellow button saying "Support" (at least it says so in Norwegian here where I am). Pressing this button opens another page with 6 tabs across, titled Help, FAQ, Search, Guide, Vocabulary and Contact Us. Pressing Contact Us gives the options of going to the User Forum, Knowledge Base, E-mail or Phone.

Unless your past 90 days, then I would go to the harmony website and use the e-mail form to ask them to add the codes I checked in my Harmony software and the e-mail option is gone (over 90 days) and replaced by pay for support. Pay for support? Not F'n likely! This thing was expensive enough already.

Pay for support? Not F'n likely! This thing was expensive enough already. Yeah at least here in the US that must only last for 90 days. I just submitted an email as per red5ive in this post: If you haven't already added the UMC-1 codes, pull them down first so that you have a device in your database for Logitech to add the codes to. There are additional discrete codes provided by Dann G. in the first post that are not on the remote (like input sources and dolby volume). Optionally, I guess you can create your own device manually, but why would anyone want to do that? ;D
Next, you will need the following information from your remote. This info on my Harmony One is in the battery compartment. I had to remove the battery to get to it. I'm not sure where it's located in other Harmony remotes, but I would guess it isn't difficult to find.
* M/N (optional, but I provided it anyway) * PID or S/N * P/N
Next:
* Open a simple text editor like notepad. * Go to the link Dann provided. You will probably only want certain codes added, so grab the text file. * Open the file, then copy/paste all the hex codes that you want added to notepad. You want to paste it exactly as it appears in Dann's link, including the Command Name. You'll only need the codes that jahays32 provided in this post, providing that you added the existing UMC-1 device to your database. * Save the notepad file to text (.txt) format, and choose a location where you can access it easily (like your desktop).
Once you have all the above, goto www.logitech.com and:
* Mouse-over the "Support" link at the top center of the page, then click the "Contact Us" link. * At the next page, click the "By Email" link. It is under the "Telephone Support" heading at the top of the page. This should take you to an "Email Support" page. * Fill in all the fields, not just the * required fields, and include the remote information above. *You need to use the same email address as the one registered to your Harmony account. * In the Description box, request to have hex codes added to your Harmony device database. Provide your account login ID (NOT THE PASSWORD) and the device name (default is AV Receiver if you didn't rename the device). Indicate that you have attached a text file with the hex codes. * Under the description box there is a field where you can browse and attach your text file. Browse to where you saved the hex codes text file and attach it. * Click the "Continue" button and follow the instructions on the next page.
If done correctly you should be issued a ticket number and also receive an email shortly. The last time I did this the codes were added within 24 hours. Logitech should email you when the codes have been added.

I have a feeling it was free until they got flooded by requests to do what they should have done when EMO first gave them the codes. Thats when We F---'d Up became U Pay Up.

Being a user with many various remotes (Harmony, URC, RTI) and having owned them for a long time, I too am in a bind on the Harmonys. After your 90 days the e-mail support option disappears off your support page and the only way to get codes added is darn near impossible. If the mfg can't get them added there is little you can do other than PAY. I have four rooms and dedicated larger HT dedicated room, a familyroom, a small "kids" HT room and the master bedroom. Getting Harmony to add the codes to each account is a major PITA!!! Thankfully I am on the pre-order list late in the game and I have been sitting back waiting for all the bugs to be fixed before mine ships. Vis I don't think so. I am way beyone the 90 day period on my Harmony 890's. I went to the support section of their web site and sent an email asking them to add the discreet codes. I attached the two lists that Emotiva provided. They responded within 24 hours (on a Sunday, no less). So now I have the discreet codes, just not the UMC-1 You got lucky...sometimes they will do it from the Logi page, sometimes from the forums, but never from the remote config pages as there is no way to send an e-mail from there. You will note that there are quite a few users who have clearly identified that the so called "support" e-mail link does not exist from the Harmony Remote Config page once your 90 days are over. Congrats on your being one of the lucky ones.

Anyone heard anything about the FULL list of discrete codes?
I know I could call, but I wanted to check here first. No use reinventing the wheel.

so guys help me out here. When I hit any activity button on my Logitech 670 remote, the UMC always goes to a wrong input. Is this the problem most of you are having?
I ask because I am not sure on how to solve this F---- problem.

I believe if you contact Logitech and give them the codes you want them to use and they will make up a profile for you or at least that is what others have done.

neekos,
Also, make sure that your list of visible inputs (as configured in the UMC) matches what's you've configured on the remote (same order and whatnot). To get the the correct input, the Harmony cycles through the known inputs for what it believes is an appropriate number of times. If your configurations differ, the Harmony won't get to the right spot.
Even if you do get the discrete codes going on your remote, Aux1 is always in the same spot, regardless of what you may have renamed Aux1 on the UMC to.

Sorry guys, maybe I'm missing something but I don't see how the codes they gave us will help me. I just wanted to be able to go directly to HDMI 1, 2 or 3 without scrolling through every input I have connected. Since I don't see a code for HDMI, how do I use the codes to do what I want?
I e-mailed my codes to Logitech yesterday and haven't heard back from them yet. But I did call Logitech today and was told that they had received my codes. I guess they just haven't gotten around to adding them yet.

If I specify Cable as part of my Logitech watch TV activity it should go directly to HDMI 2. If I specify DVD as part of my Logitech watch a movie activity it should go directly to HDMI 1. You’re going to have to root around in the Logitech setup to tell the remote to go directly to the input instead of going up through the Inputs.

Lonnie, You suggestion works great for those who's remotes are still within the 90 day support period. It also works for those who are fortunate enough to get the discrete codes added from an e-mail to Logitech or who are frequent Logitech supporters on their forums. It does not work well for some people who are just plain unlucky! They can not get the discrete codes added period. I am a long time Harmony, RTI and URC user. I do have a contact inside Logitech, BUT it uses up favours getting it added to my account. Now I note that users (who actually created Logitech's DBMS) and adding all kinds of crazy stuff to Logitech's database. There is an Emotiva selection and an Emotiva Audio selection. The settings and available commands for the UMC-1 are quite different on both. It would be nice to see Emotiva make nice with Logitech, URC, RTI, Pronto etc and get the correct names and codes (including discrete) into the DBMS for the remotes made by the major players instead of asking the end users to take on this task. Just my $0.02 c Canadian... A UMC-1 preorder person who waits quite patiently... lol
