Hello everyone, I'm new to the lounge, and just recently started looking into Emotiva gear. I only live a few hours from the headquarters and am excited about coming out to Emofest this year! Is it mainly people that frequent these forums that attend? Welcome to the Lounge! Last year was the first Emofest and even though it was the first, I believe there was quite a turn out. To answer your question, there were quite a few forum members there but there also seemed to be a lot of non members there (judging by the pictures). |

Last year the name tags had the attendees names but not their screen names. I would suggest that the members write in their screen names on the name tags to better identify members we only know by screen name.

LC, I keep expecting to see Jack Nicholson at Emofest! ;D Me too! Oh boy, now I can just see people coming out of the woodwork talking about what celebs they would like to see at Emofest and then complaining about who doesn't show up and why did Emo invite the people they did invite and leave off the ones they thought should have been invited. ;D |

Sorry, it's not a "Blues festival", it's a "Jazz festival"
The 2010 Franklin Jazz Festival returns to the downtown Franklin square on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, September 5th--with 2 National acts and many other popular regional jazz acts playing on two stages.
This year celebrates the 21st anniversary of the festival. Tickets are $8.00 per person per day in advance ($10.00 at the gate) and are available through the web site, at Brightstone or the GEAR Foundation. Twelve and under free. Gates open at 4:00 p.m.

I wish EmoFest wasn't during my planned vacation to Canada; the concurrent Jazz Festival would have made it perfect for me.

I just signed up. I could not convince my wife to come along this year, but I am looking forward to the event! Last year was great, but we made the mistake of deciding to drive home after the event and had to leave early. Not this year!!!!
I'll be arriving Saturday eve...anyone up for the Bunganut Pig for dinner?

Hey action...my reco...GO! If you are just a few hours drive away, go for it. Great food, great tunes, great deals, great fun.
On Bob/LOTR...you really should come. I bet if you asked nicely that Judd and Steve would drive up, get you back across the border (perhaps not legally), and to TN and back for minimal cost. But, you would have to put up with the "bucket"...bring Febreeze is what the rumor was last year.
