looked up the product pages of sherbourn. could not find if the outs were balanced or not. but....sho nuff their new 2, 5, and 7 channel amps are internally xactly like emos upa-2, xpa-5 and upa-7. power and distortion specs are different. back side of amps are similar w/small differences. yep.. they all have a common parent. i see no problem in that there are just certain people who will not buy an internet only audio/video product so wouldn't you want to find a way to broaden your market. for those who need the brick and morter audio emporiums in order to have peace of mind and who feel that the xtra cost is worth it, god bless them. i am thankful that emo chose to find a way to sell high end at mid-fi prices. in reality, both markets benefit from high quality equipment and sound. tchaik........... I agree, it's good to see that Emotiva can benefit from name re-branding, and we get a solid product for our home theater. We all win!
