How do you know what I have heard? You have no clue whatsoever and stop calling me a liar. Ok, two can play this childish game. Ntrain has never owned a pair of SVS PB Ultras. Lets see a picture. Most of us here think you are full of crap and haven't owned or heard even 10% of what you claim. And don't give me lessons on pro reviews, I'm not stupid. I've been around the HiFi thing a long time so stop lecturing me. Its amazing that you can make all these wild claims about a product that you like, but if anyone else says anything about a competitive product you trash them. I knew the very minute I voiced an opposing opinion to your beloved Rhythmik you would trash me and SVS . You sir, are a royal jerk. This is why EVERYONE HATES YOU. Read my last statement, your own threads contradict yourself. Just very recently you stated on another thread that lack of information and veneer options are keeping you from the pulling the trigger on one. Here, your own thread: emotivalounge.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=subwoofeers&action=display&thread=10555&page=1 Again only a handful of people in this area have bought from Brian. And if you did hear one, you would most certainly have mentioned it already consider your thread. But since there has been a long backorder on F15's until just within the last week or so...........LOL! So get mad at me all you want, but I'm only using your own words posted from other very recent threads. BTW, "Hate" is such a strong word.........unless it deals with the Lakers. Actually, there is someone in lower CT who has a F15 that I met in aanother forum so I went down to listen to it 3 weeks ago while I was on my way to New Jersey. It was very nice. I've laid off the sub stuff because I promised to not have to beat up on you. But you ask for it all the time. BTW, I have better bike that you too. And I do really hate the Lakers ;D

Well I don't have the specs here or I would post them. But I can tell you this. Dan and I have both designed and build more subs than I care to remember and these are really sweet in a lot of ways. They blend exceptionally well with your mains becuase of the sealed design. Very smooth and tight when listening to music, but has extended Xmax so when called upon they can light up the room. We spent a lot of time with the tuning and picking out just the right combination of amp, pre and woofer. So the whole product is actually greater than the sum of its parts, which in this case is really saying something. ;D After I get back to the office, I will post the specs.

I would have to say that a single Rhythmik F15 or D15 would outperform a single Ultra 12, but I would have to go with the duo Ultra 12s. Human hearing cannot detect frequencies that either the Rythmik of the Ultra are capable of producing. The few Hz that the Rhythmik goes lower than the Ultra is really a non-issue. At those f levels you can only feel the sound pressure level produced by the subs; and two Ultra 12 subs will move more air and will be able to fill any nulls that a single driver cannot.
Even if two Emotiva subs cost as much as the single Rhythmik I would go with the duo subs. They will be able to integrate much better than any single sub is able to. As Big Dan points out, you can buy two Ultra 12s for only $750... about half the price of a single F15. The two Emotiva subs will offer equal or better performance to that offered by a single Rhythmik. Plus you get a far superior guarantee from Emotiva; and with Emotiva's 30 day trial period you have nothing to lose. Try it, you will like it... and if you don't like saving money, just send me the difference that you would save by purchasing the Ultra 12s. ;D ;D

I am agonizing over this sub sale, since February this year, I bought umc1, erc1, usp1, 2 xpa1's I am pretty tapped out. My wife has been patient with me so far and I really don't want to push her. Maybe later this year.

I've hated them ever since the Red Auerbach days and I used to wish someone would smash that cigar in his face, haha (can you believe someone said I sounded violent?). Anyway, if you need a sub this is a sale that is too good to pass up, what with the discount plus the free shipping. If I didn't already have a sub I like, I would have snapped this one up. ;D (sorry, I hope you don't wind up with frying pan or rolling pin marks on your head because I persuaded you to buy it..with a 30 day trial plus the fact that this is not one of those subs that weighs a ton, how can you not get one?)

BTW, I have better bike that you too. And I do really hate the Lakers ;D LOL! Your "rolling kit bike" with the knock off EVO clone crate motor? LOL! Its what us wrenchers call a garage queen. Anytime you want to go to Loudon and put up pink slips at the speedway and see what your toy ISN'T capable of doing, you just let me know. LOL!

Oh wow, I thought I accidentally wondered onto the AVS forum lol. This is pathetic. Just shut your pie hole if its not about the original topic. To the OP, just get what your gut tells you. Don't drive yourself crazy with specs, sealed vs ported, other's opinions etc. It's good to ask for opinions, but to an extent. Plus, chances are that any of the subs mentioned will wow the socks off of you. I say go for the dual Emo subs. You can't beat that price. If they don't suit your needs, send them back and continue your search. For that price, it's certainly worth a listen.

Actually before you can start making any claims on 2 12" drivers will outperform or move more air than a single 15", you need to know the linear displacement. B. Yep your right frequencies below 20hz you cannot hear, but your right you can FEEL them. This adds greatly in a subwoofers impact ability. A sub that has a good 10hz lower extension than another is going to have some advantages. Again another reason why I'd like to know the T/S of the Ultra subs. C. Even if 2 Ultras do have effectively more linear displacement which WILL equate to more output, it does not mean they will sound better at all or be more musical. Brian Ding does one thing, and one thing only, audiophile grade subwoofers. He has been for the past 9-10 years. The servo plate amp/driver combos are slick and very highly touted. Anyone who has seen a Rythmik up close knows its build quality.

To everyone...thanks for your inputs. To Big Dan and Lonnie...thanks for taking the time to reply. I am enjoying my UMC-1 and look forward to the UPA-7 (wish I would have bought it last year at this time ).
