Wow, the remote control looks very nice! I'm very happy to see that it has on the fly trim level buttons for the surrounds, center and sub. Just like all of the past processors from Emo. Well done. I can't wait to read some user reviews. Especially from UMC-1 owners. If it's stable and if EmoQ works well, then the 200 will definitely be in my HT soon. Well, once I have my wife's new pistol payed off. Hmm. You just might want to get it before that pistol winds up in her hand! ;D Good point, but it's too late. It's already on her hip! But she already promised to only use it on bad guys. Not on me when I go crazy with audio purchases. ;D

Got an answer from Emotiva. PEQ is adjustable +-10dB per band. Sounds good to me, I ordered today and will compare to my Onkyo PR-SC 886, both connected to a Sherwood AM-9080. Is Q and frequency continuously variable or just in certain steps?

Sorry to ask as I'm sure it's in here somewhere, but do we know the diferences between the 200 and 500 apart from XLR and a volume dial (both features I want)? Price and release date? I'm comparing the 200 to a Marantz AV7005 and wishing I could compare it to the 500.

urwi: Emotiva confirmed in another mail that it is indeed a fully parametric eq - so the q-factor is also variable. I don´t know how fine or coarse the variability is, but from my experience with different DSPs in car-hifi (Alpine PXA, Pioneer P9, ODR...) and studio/pa (Behringer, Xilica, Focusrite) I don´t think we will have a problem here. My guess is "certain steps", regarding that you can select only full dB steps in the eq. I do notice half a dB difference but in reality this also isn´t a real problem in my opinion.

Yes I did, in fact almost just because of the PEQ.
