Stop complaining about $20 for shipping guys...My shipping will be US$162 ... now shut up about it! I jumped to this thread when I saw your name as I hoped you got it. Yeah, I am with you $20 for shipping and blue powerlights are mole hills in the scheme of things. I never thought guys could achieve any level of parity when it comes to minuscule bickering with our female counterparts but alas, I am wrong on that one. I am such a happy camper with all of this.

If only I could say I have it...well its ordered and paid for...now just waiting for the day its here...If I could I would go and collect it and shake Big Dan's hand, and a few others...but I just have to wait a smidge longer, and my precious will be here soon.

Stop complaining about $20 for shipping guys...My shipping will be US$162 ... now shut up about it! I blame Amazon Prime. I almost never pay shipping for anything anymore. I'm now initially taken aback when I see I'm being charged for shipping. I haven't ordered an XMC-1 (still pretty pleased with my UMC-200), but I also don't think I'd be complaining about paying $1/lb (not counting packaging) for shipping something like this. I've paid more to have LPs shipped, only to have the idiot USPS guy leave it in direct sunlight, even AFTER explaining to him that "anything shipped in one of these cardboard squares is highly sensitive to heat and direct sunlight - please leave them on THIS side of the porch, out of the sunlight".

Stop complaining about $20 for shipping guys...My shipping will be US$162 ... now shut up about it! I wouldn't complain about the extra $142US you pay for shipping. Look at all the money you save by not being allowed to chew bubble gum where you live! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chewing_gum_ban_in_SingaporeCoach Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks goes thru about $100 of Bubble Yum per game! Here he is seen here chewing, not on Marshawn Lynch but on Bubble Yum. Non-stop chewing! In fact, he chews so much Bubble Yum, Seattle based Amazon is currently unavailable. www.amazon.com/Bubble-Yum-4-Flavor-Variety-Packages/dp/B000F8L4IO

Stop complaining about $20 for shipping guys...My shipping will be US$162 ... now shut up about it! I'll see your $162, and raise you $97... just got a quote for $259 shipping to Oz. Ouch. Still, with the 40% card, shipping and the local taxes should come in at around $1700AUD, pretty good for what it is!

Chuckie the ban is on the sale...not the chewing, you are allowed to bring it in - even from Malaysia where you can drive in to get it, but you just can't retail it here. Chew all you like if your teeth can take it.
Timster ... I hear ya mate...
And yes the XMC-1 is still a great deal even I had to pay $300 for shipping and full retail its going to be in my rack one way or the other. Even SWMBO wants it in there...if for no other reason than perhaps I shut up about it imminent arrival hahahaha :-D

That seems a tad high. Put an XPA-5 in the checkout to OZ and it is much cheaper!!! The weight difference is huge, not sure on the volumetric weight. (Only purchase if you feel the need :-) ) Edit. I see you are little out of town which might explain the cost. Going to be windy today!!! Stop complaining about $20 for shipping guys...My shipping will be US$162 ... now shut up about it! Yes I suspect that the Ballarat address doesn't help, and more often than not volume drives the price not weight. The quote I got was direct from Emotiva, not the cart and was via UPS, so a reasonably quick delivery. Not complaining, just stating the facts. Maybe I'll get lucky and miss out on the GST payment. Xmas present would be nice without the taxes. Windy.... Yup, Was shocking yesterday, and today SNOW! Been here 7 years, first time for snow!

US$238.20 to Tasmania. Looking at comgateway as an option, but need to know the box size and weight. Guessing that it's 60x60x30 cm gives a volumetric weight of 21.6 kg, so using this calculator shipping would be $196 (I'm assuming they work it in US$, not your currency) standard , $235 for Express. They also charge a fuel surcharge and insurance, presumably on top of that (why can't it be included?). www.comgateway.com/2012/service-support-timecostcalculator.do?l=en&c=AUJust got a shipping quote from comgateway - US$348 for standard, US$417.60 for Express! They estimated weight at 41kg. That was by asking them to work out the size/weight. I saw a post where someone actually weighed it (minus packaging) and it was 21 pounds.

US$238.20 to Tasmania. Looking at comgateway as an option, but need to know the box size and weight. Starting with the quoted specs Unboxed: 17” Wide x 15.5” Deep x 5.25” High (not counting feet) Unboxed: 17” Wide x 15.5” Deep x 5.75” High (with feet)My guesses would be Boxing adds about 4" to each dimensions so 21” Wide x 20” Deep x 10” High would be close enough for a quote. Weight is a bit harder, not a lot of hints, I'd say around 30 lbs would also be close enough for a quote. Maybe the guys who have received their XMC-1 can give more accurate data. Cheers Gary
