Playing with near field LS 50's. Spread further apart and pointed towards me vs a trapezoid and pointed straight forward. Soundstage seem so much wider even though it wasn't small before by any stretch of the imagination! This is just first impressions with Tull playing on the Rega. All tube after that! Seperation of instruments is rather nice, all around some of the best coin you can spend is on a set of these KEF's. Thanks Boomzilla !!!! The LS 50's have a lot of midbass, accurate and tight! For an added bonus I've incorporated a set of 8" driver 12" cube Klipsch subs. Each having a set of passive drivers with the powered driver pushed by 350 watts Piano and flute are nice and sound almost live. The KEF's do like power, don't bring it if your amp doesn't. They'll belt out a soung or sweetly caress you ears with gentle tones. Im leaning towards moving my Studio 100's to the bigger room as I now feel I won't miss them in my cave. The larger room is twice the size of the cave and Ive been feeling that the Paradigms needed to breath, hence needing the larger space. The house is in shamble and im rambling on about audio! Is there something wrong with me?,,,,,,,,,,,,,im thinking, NOT,,,,,,,,he,,,,,he,,,,,he,,,,,,,,

This evening, Mr. Nickster, I plan to miscengate my LS-50s with my two PowerSound Audio XV-15 subs. Kind of like a delicate & diminutive ballet dancer hooking up with Nikolai Valuev ("The Russian Giant"). So how well will they dance together? Stay tuned...

Going to have to explain that one guv But Nick, good to hear you still like your Kefs. I just bought the Emotiva 8 inch sub so when that arrives I hope to add just a little more bottom end to mine.

Typo - from "miscegenation" - noun - marriage or cohabitation between two people from different racial groups, especially, in the U.S., between a black person and a white person: In 1968 the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that state laws prohibiting miscegenation were unconstitutional.
And although that particular insane law is now history, we've still got plenty of equally stupid ones on the books...

KEF LS50's are now set up in my training room. TA-100 > UPA-500 driving the monitors. All the usual sources, ERC-2, Music Hall 2.2 TT, BT streaming Tidal HiFi Etc. Can't wait to hear them, but my Valentine comes first.

I had a few minutes to stream some Pandora, it sounded way better then it should have. LS50's about 12" from the wall and 3' from the side walls. Plenty of depth and bass. Played some Frank and Santana, bery accurate, true and lively. Will have more time later next week.
Its Mardi Gras and fund raising time for me.

ERC-2 > TA-100 > UPA-500 > KEF LS50's sounding so sharp and accurate. Detailed and bass is just right. Playing this was just so fine.

I too have been using a set of KEF LS50 in my system and all that Boomzilla states is true. Such wonderful sounding speakers with my varied amps on hand. Ive been swapping back and forth between KEFs and Paradigm Studio 100 V5, each has their forte with the towers reaching higher volumes and greater depths, that said, youd be hard pressed to beat a set of LS50 and a small sub in most any environment but a huge room. At this moment I have the KEFs alone in a 26' x 28' x 9' room and they are plenty for it, this without a sub. Want more bass? Move them a little closer to the rear wall, done! Just can't say enough about this almost perfect monitor.

Ive been so busy with putting on events and trying to figure out what to do with my home that I haven't listened to anything ut TV for a couple/few weeks! I'm not sure how long. I just fired up my Oppo 103 and XMC-1 feeding the EmoMighty XPR-1's and then finally my Paradigm Studio 100's! Im playing Heart via Tidal.
Good golly my room sounds so great!! I'm just floored!! Please try going without your system for a few weeks, then fire it up! If its not some of the best you've ever heard I recommend starting over!!

Ever since the addition of my larger tv, the soundstage has taken a turn for the worse. I rarely listen to music anymore as it doesn't satisfy me. But that large tv is so fantastic that I don't want to get rid of it!

The TV is nothing more then a small wall like the other 6 large flat surfaces that make up the room. It may well be time for the Axiom 100's or other speakers. I really do think you and your ears have outgrown the 80's. Then again, I may be wrong!

Maybe throw a blanket over the TV when you want to listen to music.

Maybe throw a blanket over the TV when you want to listen to music. That's not a bad idea! I just think I'll get some weird looks from the wife. Not like they can get any worse since I put in my wall of sound panels!

Your Paradigms have a higher resolution tweeter than they did!
