Really? Good news, where did you hear that? Big Dan posted that the XSP-1's design is completed and is in production. He also appologized for overlooking mentioning this during his latest podcast. I just hope this Chinese new year doesn't delay their availability, but it most likely will. I remember last year that it delayed shipping completed products for about a month. Unfortunately, I don't know the dates China shuts down everything. Chinese New Year is on the 23rd this year. They (the Chinese) are usually off (shut down) for a couple of weeks. |

I was glad Big Dan wrote a response about the XSP 1 since they left it out of the podcast. ;D You'd think that would have been a hot topic since it seems like quite a few of us are waiting for it.  |

Just an FYI: My USP-1 that just showed up today will be on sale the day i have an XSP-ordered....
it will go for dirt cheap too ;-)

I am not sure if Emotiva will be re-opening the Pre-Order Sheet for the XSP-1. Dan said that the XSP-1 is currently in production. Depending on who many units will be produced for the first shipment to Franklin, TN they might run up against the Chinese New Year. All business in China ceases during this period and there are no container ships leaving China during that period.
In recent product releases they have not used Pre-order sheets like in the past. When Cathy becomes aware that a shipment from China is on the way, Emotiva puts up a Product Page where you can RESERVE your order. The current Pre-Order Sheet for the XSP-1 was started well over a year ago and has been closed for about a year. The last I heard any feedback on the Pre-order Sheet for the XSP-1 they were talking about calling those who had pre-signed, when the shipment reached the Customs Office in CA, to see if they still wanted a unit. After contacting everyone on the Pre-Order Sheet they will start processing all those who RESERVE a unit on the Product Page.
Emotiva has not said, one way or the other, if they will re-open the Pre-Order Sheet for the XSP-1. I am just "guessing" that they will not, based on recent history. If anyone hears anything concrete from Emotiva on the Pre-Oders, please post an update for the Lounge members.

It's going to be an expensive year here...a Disney cruise coming up, XSP-1, XMC-1, and Oppo-95 all on the horizon for me. Oh boy...

He's always celebrated his birthday on the 28th but has really had only 11 birthdays so far. #12 coming up! He's got a kid that brags about being older than his dad. |
