I needed a change from the UMC-1 so I bought when I did. I'll still feel bad if it actually goes down to such a low price.

If the SQ /PQ are up to your standards or more so and it does everything you need then I wouldn’t worry abought the price just kick back and enjoy ,but if you really need something to worry about worry about who is going to be are next president

I'm with Billmac....
I gave up an Integra DTR 40.2 (very connectable) and will be using the 886 until the XMC-1 is released. The 886 is very well thought out and I have had no issues since I got it up and running. I have NHT 2.9's bi-amped with Parasound and Kinergetics Research amps. My DIY rack turned out very well.. I'll post pictures eventually. Changes and redoing set-ups is fun, but I'm just going to enjoy listening for a bit.

But I'm always watching for something interesting...Hmm... Orb Audio for an Oppo BP-83

amps, features or may be food..
it was a pun!!! trying to derail the subject back to the original topic that's all lol...
to be honest i'd go with deon or onkyo,to be honest unless you want the european way of listening I would say I would stay with denon or onkyo, unless you an excellent anolog soundstage I would say you can't beat the onkyo or denon..
to be honest, unless you got the pr-5507, 5509, marantz av8003, av7005 and denons's avpa1, who's to which will be king on your av setup!!!
I doubt the reviewees at the mag would freely admit that their over priced amps sounded so crap when compared to the emo gear they are currently testing, their current amps likely max out 140-160 watts (8 ohms) ) and 170-220 watts (4 ohms) so it is no wonder they are raving over emo amps..
