grapenuts, I really like the in-wall set-up!!! I strive to have that in my next home, but until then my trusty Sanus steel framed rack will have to do for now. My question is how did you post those pictures??? I'm not seeing an attachment tab.
Lonnie, not speaking for everyone else, but I'd be interested to see your set-up!!!

Thanks a lot guys! you are looking at my biggest DIY project ever!! I have the entire album of like 200 pics of me building the bad boy from scratch and it was definitely a project. But It has been the most satisfying investment I've ever made. As far as the pics. Go to photobucket and upload your pics there. then just copy and past the image text and you're good to go!

Nice set up grapenuts! I too have the equipment rack in the wall. Mine is under the stairs leading to the basement. It is nice as there is a bit of room behind it to get in and do cabling and such. You look like you have even more room behind yours. Now I'm invious ;D

Nice setup grapenuts is your LMC going to replace the Yamaha you have up there at the top? If so are you going to move around some shelving so that the LMC and LPA are above and below each other? And now the criticsms (did you see this coming? lol), whats up with the glue or is that stain drippage on top of the back door you have there?

grapenuts,
Your wiring is entirely too clean. I'll try to get some pics of my closet and different angles of my room in the next week or so. We have been busy putting down porcelain tile and painting 3 rooms in our home, so I havn't had time to clean up the HT and my wiring. I did get to moving my rack shelves around a bit this weekend to fit my newer equipment.

LOL, the darn stain drip...yeah yeah =) I stained the front and I thought it was a clean job...but when it dried I looked at the other side and it was nasty. But I was so anxious to get the thing done I hung the door with the back side bare and drippy. I will take it down and properly stain it. It's a mahogany shelve system I built so it's just that last little bit to stain. yes, the Yammy served me very well and I have no complaints what so ever about it. It will be replaced by the LMC-1 next week when they ship and will switch places with the denon. I built the racks to be adjustable, so I'll make it look as nice as possible. The Yammy will hopefully go to a new home and help someone new break into HT. Doug: thanks about the wiring! I did my best because I knew I was shooting a few pics. I'm really excited to be looking into the MPS-1/DMC-2 combo when it is released and I'll start the wiring allll over again!

Think of it this way Doug it could be alot worse. Trust me on that one, being a systems programmer Ive seen alot of wiring jobs. Anyway after maybe an hour of TLC it could look great so keep your chin up lol. Looks like you have a nice room there though good job.

Doug, Nice room! That's one extensive DVD collection. Glad to see you posted a few pics. I had seen the one pic of your rack before (nice by the way) but not the room. Are those GIK panels? I am looking at getting a few for my room. Although not harsh at any of the listening positions, when I stand in the very back of the room near the double french doors, I notice some standing bass waves at the corners. Now that's a wiring job!
one question: How do you like yourOutlaw sub? I was thinking of picking two of them up to replace the two existing, but wasn't sure if I would really gain anything out of them.

Sorry, I watch entirely too much Family Guy. Yep, those are GIK panels. They work extremely well and don't break the bank. I like the Outlaw sub, but may end up upgrading to something with more punch in the future or adding another one. For the price it is a nice sub though and one I could easily recommend, just don't expect wall rattling performance. What do you have currently for subs?

Very nice setup. I wll try to get pictures of mine. It's in a unfinished basement since I am renting but I have tried to make it as nice as I can. I can't wait to buy my 1st house so I can get me a real HT room.

fst96se,
Nice setup...I like the way your shelves are adjustable. Wishing I would have done something like that. Maybe I'll get around to it someday.

fst96- rack looks great! Doug: they're dual SW12s. They easily fill my 24X14 room with tight clean bass, and they didn't break the bank.
