Seeing these pics I'd be curious to start a survey to see who's running 2.1 vs. 5.1. vs. 7.1, etc. 4.1 is working great for me! (no center)

miketr75, They are about 10" from the back wall.I should pull them out some more it would help with the low end.The room is not music friendly it open's up behind the Luv seat too the 2nd floor in which there is a loft with an open wall at higher volumes I get a really bad echo effect.

I was running my setup without my center for almost a year and still got great performance. I just mounted my TV and decided to test out my center channel again... I'll see if I miss it or not... Anyway, here is the new setup since I moved into my house... New Family Room Side Shot of the system My speaker guardian...

Also, I need to update my room treatments so they look a little better.... Sounds great though! Just gorgeous. Also your room placement and treatments seem spot on to me. Only thing I can say is to move the coffee table out of the way. The whole thing looks grrreeat! What does the back of the philharmonics look like? Is it bi-ampable? Is the mid and tweeter unit slightly leaned foward? I

That's not a coffee table -- it's another panel of acoustic treatment (Roxul 80, covered in blue burlap) -- I think it helps reflections off of the floor a bit. The Philharmonics are bi-ampable. The mid/tweeter do not lean -- they are 90 degrees to the floor. If you would like me to snap a shot, let me know.

I had no idea about the floor room treatment. Nice. I would like a snapshot of the back of the mid/tweeter if you would oblige. I heard the philharmonics were open baffle but found no pics. Thanks

Thanks Well, the way it is, I don't know if it does much of anything. I may experiment with placement....but it's really because I made an extra panel. lol Here are the pictures you requested. Rear of speaker (I need to dust...) Rear of midrange/tweeter cabinet with grill on. Rear of midrange/tweeter cabinet with grill and stuffing removed. Midrange driver is open-back. You can control how much of the midrange sound is radiated out of the back by varying how much stuffing is in the upper cabinet. Just a handful seems to be enough (Dennis included enough to completely stuff both cabinets)
