Since many of us have our own HT, I was wondering how many still frequent the movie theaters. When was the last time you went and what did you see?
For me it was almost a year ago. We saw Sanctum.

The last time I went was when The Dark knight came out. We went to see it in the Imax in Nashville. In fact, that may be the last time I ever go to the theater lol. I've never had any intention to go since then.

My son and I go once in awhile primarily as a chance for us to get out and spend some time together. We saw Mission Possible 4 a couple weeks ago. We both thought the previews were better than the movie.

Probably the drive in between Winchester and Tullahoma, southeast of Nashville. Actual theater it has been so long I don't remember which movie, but I know the theater was in Murfreesboro. Never made it to the IMAX in Nashville. Did it not close for a long period after the floods?

My wife and I saw the latest Mission Impossible movie during the week after Christmas. It was more like Mission Implausible but at least it was entertaining. Before that, I think the last movie was Inception. So you can tell we don't go very often. I'd rather buy the Blu Rays.

The premier weekend of LOTR The Return of the King. Cineplex Pseudo-Theater. Puke.
Before that...... IMAX - Space Shuttle. That was great!
The public theater experience is marginal at best. IMHO

So I don't mind waiting to view in my home. Our last visit to the theater was mainly because we were given some free passes or we probably wouldn't have gone then.

I haven't been in over a year. The money spent at the theater could buy me the blu ray and I don't have to sit next to some dude or a yappy person. Plus my HT sounds much better

I've been (dragged) to the theater once a year the last few years to watch the Twilight flicks with the wifey.
But I'm with N8, I'd rather dump that cash into our home theater. Also, not only is the SQ/PQ much better, but I can hit the pause button or grab a beer without ever missing anything!

My wife had two free passes and a credit which purchased a gigundo buttered popcorn, so we saw Sherlock Holmes 2 last Friday. My son stayed at grandma's house, and we had a date night.

My daughter and I will likely go see The Phantom Menace when it comes out in a few weeks, not because it's a great movie or we've never seen it. It's more of an event than it is anything else. I've never had the opportunity to see a Star Wars movie with my daughter and I think this will be more about that than just the movie. I'm hoping to watch it in a theater with good sound because the Pod Race should be awesome!

Can't remember. ...Probably more than ten years ago. At the very least. Same with TV.

More than likely. It's not a requirement. I'm sure it will be in 2D as well.
