After refusing $300 refunded, he is escalated dispute via paypal and trying to get $500. It's kinda dirty of him. I will get my amp back and full refund money back to him.

I wouldn't be that hasty. I don't think he has a leg to stand on. If there was damage, it should have been noted upon receiving the package, not several weeks later. Tell him good luck with the dispute, and ignore any further contact from him and only talk with Paypal. I would only do a refund/return as a last resort, and then laugh at the absurdity of a $300 paint job on an amp.

He has his home theater setup everything and he claimed that he recently moved to new house. I will provide further information to paypal such as tracking number and everything. I won't refund $300 or even $100 that i am planning to refund to him. Refund/Return, he will cough up shipping fee for shipping items back to me. I will record everything from left to right and top to bottom. I will take a day off to wait for UPS guys delivery package to me and ask him to open it. I have my canon 5d Mark II kits ready.

Even better, you might be able to tell them to hold it at the UPS or USPS post office nearest to you by going online. That way you don't have to wait for the delivery guy and waste your time. You just go when it arrives there at your leisure I know fedex does that, so I assume USPS and UPS does it too (maybe not).

He says, " Send me the refund and arrange for the pickup of the amp and that is a done deal. Otherwise I'll be willing to keep it with a $300 refund." He is trying to threaten me. I will let's paypal handle this case thank you for emotiva members provide information for my situation. I shipped cable and provide invoice via paypal.

I said that let's paypal handles situation. He pmed me, " Suit yourself. I'll have it ready to ship out tomorrow. At this point I don't want it anymore. You said you'd take it back for a full refund and now you are backing out on that also. I'll be sending all messages from this to paypal also."

Don't respond to him, that's what he wants. Let PayPal handle it. His comment "At this point I don't want it anymore" really means he has suffered buyer's remorse, and that's not your fault.

If this is a lounge member, please leave him feedback in the Emotive Trader's List thread found in the Emporium section after the deal is settled. I ask this not to punish or embarrass the buyer, although it sure sounds like he deserves that, but rather to help all of the other lounge members avoid getting into a similar situation by not dealing with this individual. Consider it s public service.

Looks like he left feedback already... -1 for kasuza
Integra amp arrived without power cord and warranty information like promised. Seller said he would ship it out numerous times and has yet to do so. He failed to tell me otherwise that he didn't ship it when he said he would. The amp has been in my closet for over a month now in the box not in use due to him not sending me the power cord and working on remodeling the new house I bought. i went to take it out of the styrofoam peanut mess and noticed 2 scuffs on the amp last weekend. Not mint like he originally said. I asked for a partial refund which he refused. He offered to refund the amp purchase to me altogether/returned and i agreed upon that. He now has backed out on that offer. This transaction is now in a paypal case dispute. He said he took it out of the box last weekend?? Weird because in his gallery at bluray.com looks like he had it hooked up April 17(29 days ago)...Though if you look at the pics closely you can kinda see some slight nicks(or is it just a glare?) but who's to say it didn't get damaged in the move? see here www.blu-ray.com/community/gallery.php?member=SeanMF

As to not being able to use it because of the missing power cord, well it's just a regular IEC type cord right?Heck,I've got several of those lying around extra not to mention being able to borrow one from another component to at least test something.Besides,it sure looks like he solved the problem since it is installed in his system in the photos. From the description of "2 scuffs" and what I can see in those pictures I can't see any way in the world a reasonable person could claim that was $500 worth of damage.Saying that he asked for a partial refund it technically true but it doesn't give the full story.A $500 "partial refund" for 2 "scuffs" and a missing power cord sure doesn't sound very reasonable to me.

Before i shipped my amp to him, it's in perfect condition and now there are 2 scuffs on it. If there is scuffs after receiving package, he will furious asking for refund, not wait until now. It's kinda very strange to me.

There's something missing here. Looking at the profile it seems likely though that this guy was actually intending to use the amp at least at one time. (He has a decent audio system) and not necessarily a professional scammer. If he was he wouldn't really bother with buyer feedback on emotiva forums etc. I would just refund the shipping cost and take the amp back. Then sell it for local pickup so you don't lose on the shipping again. Why I would be upset about the scuffs is because it could indicate that the amp might have been dropped or subject to unseen trauma. And I understand that would pis me off. But he did wait way too long to respond to you. And his request for 500 dollars to paint an amp is even stranger. He also didn't disclose that it was to paint the amp in his feedback which is suspicious and not very honest IMO. The whole thing's weird. Refund the shipping and sale and let it go, I say. But now that's it's in paypal territory, I guess it's out of your hands.

If all he used was packing peanuts well than that was a poor choice. Does this mean it was damaged during shipment? Who knows but I still dont understand why the buyer would wait this long to say something about it and than lie that he just unpacked it last week. Something doesnt sound right there.
$500 dallors for two small nicks? Cmon be real....

I have bubble wrap around amp and boxing by UPS include UPS insurance and still have same shipping material by World Wide Stereo. If it was damage during shipping, he should contact me immediately but he wait exactly 30 days to file paypal dispute. It's very strange to me. The amp is $1150 why don't he contact me immediately about shipping damage. I don't understand his problems or way of his thinking. It's too late for me to file claim via UPS after one month.

In my case, he did not response anything about shipping damage or scratch. He only ask for power cord, nothing about scratch or anything. It's best to let paypal handle this case. If i lost, he is responsible to ship amp back to me or he won't receive any refund. He claimed that if i don't pay for shipping, he will keep amp and refund money which is totally not true. I contacted paypal and they said different.
