One last post in this thread for me then I'm out. I have only the information provided here by the two parties to go on so I am unsure if I'm missing out on something but I see errors on both sides here. The seller admits to leaving out the power cord and warranty info and admits that he was slow as crap to send it.Not good. The buyer complains that he still doesn't have it but the seller said that he was getting it shipped. If the seller failed to get it shipped that is another failure and if he did then he should have emailed the buyer to say it was on the way and to provide a tracking number, another failure. If the seller used peanuts to ship a heavy amp that wasn't a good choice but he did say that there was bubble wrap also.Just because peanuts were not the best choice does not automatically mean that they let damage occur.Even if it did, there was insurance had a timely claim been made. Info from the buyer is odd and conflicting. His initial post makes it sound like he just opened it last weekend yet we see pictures of it in his set up from a month ago.He partially blames letting it sit on no power cord but in the pics it is obviously hooked up. He supposedly did not even mention the scuffs initially, just the cord and warranty, and he says that he was initially willing to let them go,but now he is upset over the scuffs to the point of having to spend hundreds to get it fixed. The buyers initial response to why didn't he inspect it right away is to not answer but to divert the issue back to the power cord not being sent.Later,in another posts he says that he did open it and took pictures then put it back in the box.Surely he would have seen the scuffs at that time and complained.Plus it looks like a little more than just taking pictures,it looks like it was set up and in operation in his set up. The pictures definitely show damage to the finish. The question is when did it happen? The seller says that is shipped without that damage. The buyer never mentioned it till a month later.Only these two guys know for sure. seanfarley2,no offense meant to you sir because I don't know you and you definitely had some legit complaints, but your inconsistencies, odd behavior, and request for a silly high $500 partial refund based on those scuffs and missing power cord make it hard to see your side in this. Good luck to both of you in getting this settled and I hope that this whole sorry mess helps you and others learn some lessons to help avoid such an occurrence in the future.

I put it on the shelf and plugged it in with a power cord of another item. I snapped pics and then put it back in the box in the closet. Simple as that. There is no inconsistencies. When I brought up the scuffs doesn't matter as I was willing to let the scuffs go originally. After the hassle with the whole ordeal I am no longer willing to forgive the scuffs that are there. That is how it is. I'm a no hassle guy and this guy has been nothing but a major hassle. So if he wants to inconvenience me than I will do the same to the full extent. The damage is from the shipping. Whether it is past insurance claim timeframe...that is not my problem. He should have handled the transaction like he said he would. For the record dcg44...maybe you should get your facts straight before you post your opinions. I opened the box when I first got it along with the pics. I never said I first opened it last weekend. There is no inconsistencies and I'm telling it like it is. Odd behavior? Who is the one that created this thread? If it is in paypal dispute why bring it up here? Plus the seller calling me names and leaving out details on his actions. Not to mention what he told a potential buyer who i am now in contact with. Also the actual claim is for $300 (not $500) which was changed yesterday to a full refund for the amp being returned to the seller. I've been a buyer and seller on here for years. Not to mention numerous other forums and selling websites. I've had things gone wrong as a seller and as a buyer. I've never once encountered an issue like this where the seller keeps telling me he will ship something out and never does. I don't care if a lot of you guys don't like the timing of the scuff issue being brought up. I personally don't like the timing and handling of this transaction by the seller. You go thru over a month of trying to get what you bought handled, being lied to when it is shipped out, no communication by the seller saying he didn't ship it out when he was going to, and then come to me with your criticism.

Hopefully this gets resolved soon that way both parties can move on. Also hope the two of you learned something from this experience.
1. Always make sure you pack extremely well and always double check to see if everything that is included is packed.
2. Always inspect your purchase immediately upon receiving it.
3. Communication is key.

What a frustrating situation. I've been taken advantage of by sellers and buyers. It is hugely aggravating! You've both made errors in this case so it has now become a mess that belongs to you both. Keep it professional and business like, don't let your pride make it worse, and don't be unduly influenced by people who use terms like "huckster crap" or "hustle" who seem to forget in every instance there are always two sides to every story. Here in this thread lies only the seller's part. That is not an invitation for the buyer to chime in and start a storm of he said/he said but a reminder about the partiality and prejudice that some of the opinions on here may contain. What was the comment about World Wide Stereo and the invoice? I thought you said you had the cord and invoice in-hand but forgot to send them or were busy? These are the details that make or destroy YOUR credibility during these circumstances. You cannot speak or act so casually and leave out the details; that's how you got into this mess to begin with. My friends will shipped power cord out to him in early morning via usps priorities mail and it will arrive within 2 business days. I admited that there is my fault on power cord and invoice. I contacted world wide stereo about invoice last week and I haven't heard anything back from them. However, I don't think it's right to refund $500 for two paint of f on the top cover. I said that he is overpaid - $1150 for my amp as listed on emotiva with no cosmetic condition. The retail price of amp is $1800 on world wide stereo and online include retail store. Integral is luxury model of Onkyo and have extra warranty. I paid ups shipping and paypal fee. Now I need to pay for $500 for two small paint off on amp. It's not really worth it to refunds money. If transaction and dispute are not working out for me and him, I think it's best to get my amp back and full refund money to him. I would rather to sell it to local to avoid any problems.

I shipped power cord and invoices to him via usps express mail. It's my fault to not ship power cord out to him and send him invoice. At this point, I will let paypal handle the situation and I will submit nformation and evidence from whatever I have. If I lost, I hope that he is going to use $300 to repainting amp and post it here. If I am wrong, I am going to admit it and I am not running away from it.

Speaking of "where's my money", A1UC, I'd like to know what happened to my $65 that you basically stole from me. True, I backed out of the deal on the Velodyne SMS-1 due to a change in circumstances, but if it were me I would have refunded the money. And you don't need to buy on credit, right?, so it's not exactly like you're hurting or anything...are you?

Ok folks, there's nothing "Newbie" about this thread and it's just a dumping ground for grievances.
Please remember that transactions are held between the buyer and the seller and if there is an issue, feel free to take it up with the other party.

Okay lets be honest here , You contacted me and asked if I would sell you the SMS-1 if you put down 65.00 and you would pay me the balance in a week .I replied and told you that was fine I also told you if we agree to this you need to follow through and if you don't I would not issue a refund. So after 5 days pass you PM me and tell me you decided to sell your gear and no longer want the SMS-1 . Now I gave you another chance and told you to list the SMS-1 here in the lounge and sell it yourself and I would ship to the new buyer which would save you shipping costs. But that you needed to pay me the balance which you never did. But you keep it listed hoping it would sell. And once you saw it wouldn't sell I never heard from you again , so I contacted you again asking for payment and you said its not selling , again I said that has nothing to do with our agreement and told you that you need to pay and I will send your item out to you . Now its been over 2 weeks since we made this agreement and you post this ? I sold others on this forum gear on payments and had no issues "none" one person even gave me 20.00 extra for the hassle which I returned to him , I'm an honest seller and I keep my word and if someone is nice enough to work with you on payments you should be decent enough to follow through . Also you sold all your gear its not like you didn't have the money to pay for the SMS-1 and the other 2 people that wanted to buy the SMS-1 from me purchased elsewhere because I told them it was sold Now I'm sure some members will agree and some wont , As far as I'm concerned this is over you did it to yourself. I backed out of the deal on the Velodyne SMS-1 due to a change in circumstancesYup because you decided to sell your gear so you no longer wanted it . Its also a shame that this happened because I will never do payments again

As I said before, this has become a grievances thread and personal issues have no place in the Newbie Stuff area.
