. Sure am glad I'm #1 on the list!!!!!! ;D How do I find out where on the list i am. Peter I would call Emotiva and also given that the original list is some 3 years old a confirmation email was sent in March 2012 that first congratulated those of us on the "Original" list and second to let us know we did not need to sign up again on the new reservation list but thirdly a request to reply or call if you were still interested in being on the "Original" list and being contacted when it was ready for us. I hope this helps and also I would expect that not all on the "Original" list are still in the market and may have moved on but really I have no idea what the percentage is. Once again if you have no record of contact from Emotiva and were on the "Original" list I would give them a call or if you want to know what number you are on the new list as well.

My blog is updated. cave.hometheaterhifi.com/profiles/blogs/emofest-2012Great to meet so many of you lounge lizards. What a party! I can not compete with the great coverage done by some of you guys, but you can all enjoy my pictures... Funny, they had a sign on the XMC-1 "DO NOT TOUCH". I used the remote to do some switching of the inputs...technically, that was not touching, was it? Jim, I'll admit I too did some remote use on the XMC-1 while no one was looking. ;D Thanks for your blog! Glad to hear I'm not the only "trouble maker" around here...

Hi everyone, Glad to see such spirited discussion regarding the XMC-1. Well, for those of you who were at Emofest, I think that your confidence level in the XMC-1 is running very high. We ran the XMC-1 in our demo theater all weekend long without a glitch. We certainly have more work to do, but if you've had any experience with these types of products, you know you can't fake correct operation. The XMC-1 is going to be a killer product. I feel the need to address some of the comments regarding the initial release of the XMC-1. As stated, it will initially release without the TacT SW module implemented, but it WILL be released in Q1 of 2013. It will ship with the new professional caliber measurement microphone and ail necessary hardware fully implemented to support the Tact system. You will literally download the new updated code to a USB drive and it will self install on the XMC-1. Some of you say that you are concerned about buying the XMC-1 without room correction implemented. My answer is: don't buy it. If you don't believe that we will live up to our word and deliver on our promise to you then I don't know what to say. You've seen our effort to date. You've met Boz, you've seen our investment and dedication to this product, either you believe us or you don't. We respect your decision and understand if you elect to wait or go another way, but we are confident in the path that we are on, and know that we are very close to completion. Also, the XMC-1 will never be "finished". That's the very nature of it's design and system architecture. It is designed to allow the XMC-1 to continuously evolve and improve. The XMC-1 will ship with a very capable parametric EQ system and extensive bass management installed. I can name several multi-thousand dollar pre-pro's that do not offer as much capability as our basic system, and they are receiving kudos for being "pure, no nonsense" products. Heck, some of them don't even have on screen display for nearly $10k!! We added the Tact room correction feature late in the development cycle of the XMC-1. We need time to implement it properly. We did not add a penny to the cost of the unit when we did this. It will be one of the most capable room correction systems available on the market when it is completed. If you think your 900 bucks is at risk because it will initially ship without TacT, then sit back, keep your money in your pocket, and relax. Maybe you can sell your upgrade certificate to someone else and use the money towards a $5k-10k "real" AVP. Please don't sit on the sidelines and hammer us endlessly. It's not necessary. We haven't taken your money. And we haven't done any one any harm. For those of you who believe in us, you will not be disappointed! I think everyone who knows us knows we're really doing this. If you were here at Emofest you know it's real. Peace, Big Dan Hi Dan, is the XMC-1 complete in q1 / 2013 only without Tact? (including streaming and also hd files through usb support etc) And for 900 dollar for every customer? Jerry

I noticed that at the Emotiva website the XDA-1 has been removed; i guess they cleaned out what stock they had during Emofest. I'm happy to say, I did my part & got 2 of them!

Jerry I believe the $900 that Dan refers is for those that will be eligible to use the Emotiva Processor Upgrade Program. If you aren't eligible, then you would be paying the regular price of $1499. You can read about the Processor Upgrade Program here: www.emotiva.com/faq/processor_upgrade

When are you guys going to release consumer floor standers using the Adam tweet and possibly their AMAZING mid... THAT WOULD ROCK Also I'm curious about the XPA-1L. It is a monoblock based on the XPA-1 right with less secondary capacitance and less output devices right? That sounds just great if it is as the XPA-1 in it's current form is just overkill for most of us but I'd still love to have a truly differential design to pair with the XMC-1 output stages.

Some of you say that you are concerned about buying the XMC-1 without room correction implemented. My answer is: don't buy it. If you don't believe that we will live up to our word and deliver on our promise to you then I don't know what to say. FWIW, it's not that some of us do not trust TacT will be delivered after the release of the XMC-1. It's just that some simply do not need an new processor unless it has a very major new feature like the advanced room correction software. I suspect many are satisfied with UMC-1 or other processor, and to take the next step, we need a major advancement like TacT. So, it's practical (especially given today's economy) for many to simply wait until they get what they want when they pay for the new processor, and not later. Personally, I signed up for the original XMC-1 wait list years back, but honestly had given up and moved on. The only reason I decided to get back on the XMC-1 bandwagon was the announcement earlier this year that it would have TacT. In the spring I bought a UMC-1 solely to get the XMC-1 future discount (as I was not really shopping for a processor at the time). I am glad Emotiva decided to use TacT, as I think it is going go be a enormous draw for XMC-1 and future processors, and it will force every other high-end processor maker to do something similar or stop making them. Now that TacT is delayed, it's not that I (or others necessarily) are abandoning ship, we just might want to wait until the #1 feature we wanted is available. Who knows, when I get notified that and XMC-1 is available for me (even without TacT), maybe I won't be able to resist. Not sure I can really know until that day happens.

I think since the design is modular with lots of headroom that the plug and play upgrades give me peace. When I signed up for the XMC in 2009 it did not have the DSP, TI, TacT or modular design but the headphone amp, xlr, analog were great features beyond the UMC and now it has really just shifted into a higher league all together. For those that choose to wait that is cool and we will share our experiences with you and support your decision to move at a slower adoption pace. Everyone wins really!

I'm buying simply because of the analog section and converters though isn't there a variant of it in the works that offers even better analog section? I'm not knocking the UMC-1 converters or I/V etc but the XMC-1 analog section will certainly be a cut above the UMC-1. Do any of you know if any consumer speakers are in the works using the Adam Audio tweet and perhaps even (dreaming here) that X-Art midrange driver? I'm thinking something like the Column Mk3 only AFFORDABLE. I'm sure Vance would LOVE to work on a design using that midrange man... DAN!?!

Unless I am going blind, I haven't seen any mention of the XPA-7 in this thread.
Was there any discussion around the ETA for this unit ?

After hearing the way the XMC-1 sounds Im more than ready. About waiting a little longer for TacT Just gives us more time to learn all the workings of the XMC-1 and we'll be ready when it comes along. Just happy I signed up on the first list.
