Your best option is to call. They are a rarity these days in that you get to speak to humans. Email like you did works, but they are slow on email, though. Mark Hi Mark, if your speaking about Emotiva and not getting to speak with someone I highly disagree . I've never had a problem with sales, or tech support. They've always been there for me. Nick

Yep...hemster nailed it. I loath the support from other places...for example netgear recently...I could not find a phone #, they held me on hold for chat for 30 minutes then hung up on chat, and I had to email them back and forth three times because they kept asking for details I had already provided but didn't bother to read. That is typical. Emotiva is far from that!

Question to Keith or anybody who feels like commenting.
I feel the space where the selected Input is display is a bit wasted. It's only really necessary to see when selecting the source, afterwards it's sort of pointless. Would it be possible to at least have an option to display something else? Maybe bitrate and or bit depth, would that makes sense if not why?
By far my favorite option would be to display some sort of metadata like the song or filename that's currently played over USB (I'm guessing that's the only input source where this would be possible). Would this be possible?

Possibly yeah. Or as soon as you start twisting the source knob it appears over the metadata stays for 2 sec and disappears again.

Trying to install the UAC2 driver on a PC running Windows 8.1. Tried both the normal installer and the "specific" 8.1 version. I can run the installer and when it's going through with the install it stops shortly before its finished and the installer says: Unexpected Error No Changes have been made blablad no Error Nr really helpflul! What could be the issue?

Would this be possible? I completely agree. It should be a dynamic display imo. The most important thing....is the volume control. And it is tiny. And more importantly when a constant bitsteram is going it is not visible. For instance my card outputs PCM 44.1 the whole time even when nothing is playing. But that also means I have no idea what the volume is. I think the volume should be large all the time with maybe a small input indicator. Then the bit depth can display ONLY when it gets changed. Or better make it dynamic. Have whatever is getting changed at the time in big letters (dwarf everything else). That makes the most sense. Sort of like the XMC-1 display. As for metadata that would be nice, but I'm not sure how that's possible as it only recieves pcm info. Trying to install the UAC2 driver on a PC running Windows 8.1. What could be the issue? You mean the DC-1 driver? I think keith mentioned windows 8 prevents the installation of unsigned drivers resulting in that error. You have to specifically tell windows 8 before installation to allow unsigned drivers. Not sure how but googling may help

Once I directed JRiver Media Center to use the USB port, the DC-1 worked perfectly with Windows 8.1. No fuss, no muss, no additional driver required.

The short answer is "yes". (That's how I use mine.)

Yes, you just have to make sure the male and female ends are in the right connectivity order. For instance your RCA cable has to physically fit into the RCA side etc. It looks like the order is correct there fwiw.

I got the BigBear USB2ISO to use with DC-1, but am having problems running with it anything above 44KHz. the DC-1 is on USB 2.0 mode and the isolator is rated Full Speed so in theory should be able to hit 96KHz sampling. Anyone using USB Isolator with good effect with DC-1, please share some info.
