I'd take either but have no use for a CD player. 100% of my music is file based or streaming these days and I have no desire to lug in the 1000 CD's I have in storage. That said, I'd love for a bluetooth streaming option.....I use an iPhone and iPad and have Amazon Cloud Player, iTunes/iCloud and Pandora as sources. Its nice to have the audio gear on the bookshelf and my iPad in front of me as my "remote control".

Not something I would ever buy, but the first option looks a lot better.

In thinking about this more, I think that if there were a feature I'd add to it, it would be some sort of network control. While it isn't "needed", it would be something that would be very much talked about. If you then came up with an app for iOS and Android that could communicate with all your emotiva products, that would be great and something that would set you even further apart. You could probably get the same network chip/control in every device.
Heck, a raspberry pi is only about $35, and has way more power then you'd even need. You'd have to sort out the shielding side of things, but it's definitely something I'd love.

Definitely the smaller separates. I would put them side-by-side and use them as a monitor stand.

Yeah, those meters are waaayyyy cool! If given the option, I'd go for the ones shown in the left-most pic. Just make 'em digital needles showing watts/ch. with defeatable lighting. Look out MacIntosh, Emo is gunnin' for ya!!
And I *love* the beveled edges, much nicer looking than those cheesy silver plates...

If they add those meters, the ones on the left please,I don't know if I could resist buying even though I don't really need them.Surely I could find SOMEWHERE to put them. ;D
Oh yeah,if that is a 3.5mm headphone jack could we switch it to a 1/4 inch jack please?

I could see myself picking up an all in one Emo CD/Receiver as a Christmas gift for each of my two (now) adult daughters...who are still stuck on ear buds and iCrap!
Its people like them who profess to love music, but then put up with Lo-Fi MP3 files for all their listening who really need something like this. Once hooked, they can expand on it later but just to hear reasonably good sound from an inexpensive (but FAR superior to the typical small transportable this or that) compact system would convince them I think.

Mad norseman: my wife who can tell the difference between high and low quality music doesn't really share my enthusiasm about it. For her she'd be reasonably happy on tv speakers. But, yesterday, we were watching her first star trek movie and she turned to me with a huge smile during a big orchestral score and said...."I LOVE your sound system". And that's a big deal ;D
