My forum brethren came thru in amazing form last weekend, raising over $3,000.00 in ONE DAY! Amazing! Well, a new weekend is upon us, so I am reaching out to those of you on the fence. Please consider making a small donation as you will be making a very direct impact on my daughters life and those like her who suffer from diabetes. Tour de Cure prep news update: I'm doing a "little" 6 hour mountain bike race this weekend in preparation for the nearly 12 hours I will be putting in on my road bike during the Tour de Cure. The MTB race was rescheduled from last weekend due to weather, but it's ON now! Will I survive??? Stay tuned... In the meantime, jump over that fence and drop a few bucks into the American Diabetes Association bucket. Thanks!!!!! Derek By the way, I'm all healed up from my "little" tumble last year and as you can see, I didn't learn my lesson. Get busy living or get busy dying...

Thank you very much "mopman!" I sincerely appreciate it! Update: Well, I survived my first ever 6 hour mountain bike endurance race! It was pretty dang difficult I must say, but I didn't give up! I thought a lot of what my daughter goes thru on a daily basis and figured what I was doing was nothing compared with that, so I kept on pedaling and only took 3 very short 1 min. pit stops for the entire race. Yes, I am SOOOOOOR today and am still lying here in bed contemplating mowing the yard and dealing with more pollen. Anyway, here are a couple of pics from yesterdays race. I consider it a really good training ride for the nearly 12 hours I'll be on my bike for the Tour de Cure next month. Challenge: Can you guys top the amazing donations you made on last Saturday???
