Hey guys I have kind of weird question regarding the Multichannel EQ. Is there any reason why 200 Hz - 1000 Hz was left out of the EQ? Is this because it uses a hardware EQ and not a DSP EQ? I would really like to EQ some of these frequencies.

I would really like to EQ some of these frequencies. Doubt it's a hardware eq thepar ; sort of thing you associate with a simple graphic equalizer not a parametric with adjustable q . Would be nice to get those frequencies covered though ;certainly stands out when the 140hz only goes to 200 A firmware upgrade if possible would be good

wow guess I should have waited... Also have an issue with a new Sony 4K TV, and the Sherbourn, as I can not get them to sync. Called Sony and Emotiva both today. But Emotiva thought tv and Sony thought Sherbourn. So got nowhere, but will call Monday to the Sherbourn experts. I totally rewired it so all the HDMI's go to the TV then ran optical, and its working, but a huge pain not having OSD for the Sherbourn. IF I use the Sherbourn only via HDMI I get picture with no connections, so its definitely the processor as of tonight as all the inputs wired around with HDMI work fine.
So somehow the Sherbourn is failing to handshake and HDCP can't not be turned off on the TV according to Sony to try it so...However all the literature says its HDCP compliant, so will call Monday again. I have 2 choices dump the SHerbourn, or the new Sony TV.... I am sure hoping the XMC does not have these issues as well.
Will be getting the new SVS sub later this week, cant wait. I have to say I was out looking at different processors again,as I am beginning to wonder about what folks new about this processor and if thats why its so cheap now and worry that the XMC will suffer the same issues. Just upsetting as its non returnable and should work. Heck its only 899 so.... Move on.

Try turning CEC control and power off in the 7030 settings. Also make sure all your hdmi cables are high speed.
This pre/pro is hdmi 1.4a so it should pass 4k just fine. I will be upgrading to a 4k TV soon and I am very curious about this. Even though you can't return it they must resolve this issue. It is advertised that it is 1.4a so it must pass 4k. Don't take no for an answer and make them fix. The fix will probably be developing a new firmware or possibly even a new HDMI board.

Agree, I was surprised. Tried that CEC/Power are off. THe Hdmi cables work fine bypassing the 7030. So cant imagine its that but will double check. THe cales worked witn my 52LN750 TV but it was NON hHDCP compliant. I do have to say that going to TOS seems to have solved the input lag, mostly anyway. BUT I figure I could go back and use the DMC and just sell this if I cant get this going quickly while I can still get 500 for it maybe...
I am very tempted to go buy another processor and try it, maybe Krell, Theta maybe.... OR maybe just leave it bypassed because it solves 2 issues for me, the sound drops onswitching inputs, and it gives me 4 HDMI inputs to calibrate individually instead of making 1 work.
Anyway, more to come as I krrp trying to get this working using the 7030 HDMI switching

Anyone have a point of view on how the PT-7030 compares to say a Marantz AV7005 or AV7701?
Seems hard to beat at $699, especially with the warranty.(I was thinking refurb on the Marantz)
I am pretty new to the separates/modern audiophile stuff, but am piecing together a system (and loving it so far).
I'll be using it with setup below. I am building in stages and hope to arrive at 7.1 eventually.
I may use 2 subs eventually, so I expect bass mgmt. and room correction will be important. I don't plan to go to a 4k display anytime soon.
Thanks!
Maggie 1.6 fronts Maggie MC1 center Maggie MC1 surrounds (eventually hope to get to 7.1) Sub(s) REL, Rythmik or Hsu

Tried again this am for about an hour for fun, with Apple TV hooked up HDMI to 7030. I can see Sherborn Splash screen, and the apple tv splash for about 10 sec, then blank and get the no signal message. No luck so far. I think I will be ordering longer HDMi cables to reach TV, then hook up TOS and use the 7030 for the audio, starting to get used to it

HDMI 1 is ARC on this TV, and I looked at that already, and have tried all 4 HDMI inputs

What's your source scpanel ? If its a bd player and the pt7030 is trying to repeat the colour space try a specific rgb instead of Y Pb Pr and check the 4k panel is on auto hdmi ; it should be the default as is usual . Since you're 4 hdmi's are ok on bypass try a new one from the 7030 to the panel if you haven't already ? Hope it's not a duff hdmi board

HDMI to TV I can see the Sherbourn splash screen and menus, but thats is then get no signal message on TV. I have everything else bypassed right now except my apple TV to lay with it. but so far I can not get it to pass video with the exception of splash screens. I did see onece yesterday a HDCP error message for a split second. I will be calling the Sherbourn tech tomorrow. TV works fine with all sources
I have to say this HDMI switching, while it may be what I wanted and moved from my DMC, but I have to say having all the inputs on the TV available for calibration with each source might trump it all. If thats what I decide to do permanently, I may go out and buy a great non HDMI processor and leave it at that. I am torn now.
I wish you could all see this TV. Very impressive

I want 200$ refund! Not a joke... Is it a riddle? Like all the goods, 7030 is going toward its actual value on the market! I am just wondering where it will end? If it was truly "high-end" it wouldn't fall a dollar, much less x3... And counting. It's devaluing Sherbourn and Emotiva on so many levels... Imagine when Mercedes would be for 5000$ on Sale? Would it ever be worth as a used car? Would it really be seen as premium make in future? Nope!

I want 200$ refund! Not a joke... Sell your discount card for 200 and there's your refund... They are no longer offering these cards with the processors thus the lower sale price. I'm really sorry to hear you guys are having problems with these units because I must be lucky mine is operating flawlessly I really hope you can get it sorted and be able to just enjoy it.
