So any predictions on what Mr Carver and the Emotiva team have come up with? I'm hoping something on the lines of the black beauty 305.
Thoughts?

Hehe that sounds amazing. But where are you going to find emo users willing to spend 10K on an amp? I doubt there will be enough market for it.

Hopes and prayers that the Emotiva versions won't be $10K. No reason that a good mono-block power amp couldn't be had for around $1K, if that's what they do.

I would like to see a 300B design. It would be a cool Emo blue statement.

What would be cool is if Mr Carver came in here and talked to us about his plans for Emotiva Tube Gear. This feature of the VTA305M 305 Watt Vacuum Tube Amplifier - A special current feedback circuit allows the amplifier to “listen to the room” via feedback from the speakers acting as microphones (using the law of reciprocity)- amazes me and I wonder if it could be applied to affordable Emotiva Gear.

I would hope they produce something that would match with emo's reference line.

This is too exciting. Hopefully Emotiva eventually goes all in with these tube concepts. They have at least four good engineers on team and that's not even counting Bob's staff.

My guess would be a small wattage amp to see how things go and that a larger version would be under development at the time. As far that tube structure, that is a tough call.

I'd like to see something affordable. The closer to $500/600 the better. Once you start getting over $1,000 for a stereo amp/integrated amp it gets more difficult. I also hope we see something in 2013 ( not knowing product life cycles I'm sure that is stretching it).

Good transformer "iron" doesn't come cheap and tube themselves are much more than SS devices.

A Carver Tube amp was on display at the Emotiva room in last weekend's Newport Beach audio show but was not powered up. I overheard someone asked an Emo rep how much would the price go down and he said, "half would be a good start."

With Emotiva's acquisition of Bob Carvers - The Vacuum amplifier Tube Company, And Bob joining emotiva to run R&D. I would hope a release of something with a "statement" to quiet the skeptics other then a low wattage contender for their first product.

Black Magic 20- $2500 , so I'd be hoping for more than half off personally, only really so I could consider buying it.

You have to be realistic about tube amp prices, to expect any meaningful power for less than $1000 probably isn't in the cards (though I do have a 4 watt tube guitar amp that only cost $100!)

One must remember "Tubes" are all hand made even the cheap ones cost more then most of the CD's we buy for music.I am talking about Tubes in a Pre-Pro and Tube Amps for home use. I just can't see Bob Carver putting his name on anything that has a "cheap" tube in it but hey what do I know about cheap I am just hoping for a good value.

Right now this would be the tube power amp with KT-120's that I'd sell my Red Dragons for if I were not waiting to upgrade my pre first:
