No the system is calibrated everything is level matched. The JTR Noesis will still outgun 4 x 21's, 6 x18 and 1 G-horn with ease, they are crazy. I'm adding the other 21's so that I can turn up my system to any level I want and nothing will ever be too much for it. As it stands now, Even will all that I have, the subs will start to strain at crazy high levels and the Noesis by themselves and my JTR's as a whole can still go 10dB's louder.... Gotta remember I'm pretty much trying to pressurize an entire basement as I don't have a separate room. Just how big is your basement, and what kind of ear piercing volumes do you listen to? I'd be afraid the entire house is going to come collapsing down around you.

The HT section is contained in a corner but it's open to the rest of the basement, about 1200 Square Feet of space.

looks like some new gear was added to the closeout sale. Notably, the SR-120. What's the difference in the amplifier section between this and an SR-8100? I see power ratings are increased on the front three channels of the SR-120; are we talking apples:apples comparison in amps here? I wouldn't think so, given the lower price point.

Believe me, I'd love to but we're not planning on being here to much longer and just spent 50K on our kitchen a week ago. I feel like I'm hoarding enough subs so that when our new place gets built finally, I'll not need to buy anything! LOL

I tried to get the 18 but they were sold out so I picked up a 4z-75 2, To run other speakers in the house and outside speakers, My nephew has been talking about setting up a theater room and a house system in his new house so I had him pick up a 4Z-75 and the SR-120. He's new to this theater and music systems I told him this would be a great starter system for him

I just picked up an SR-120 tonight. May buy another still. Can't imagine another receiver outperforming this thing...especially not near this price point.

I know! I called and talked to Emo about it....it weighs 61 lbs. Nuts. If I didn't order an extra SR-8100, I'd pick one up.
