Nice. Now you can enjoy and get some critical listening in for the new remasters. From all the LZ format editions you purchased which ones will you open, and which ones will remained sealed? First shipment arrived today at the house. WEE-HOO! |

First shipment arrived today at the house. WEE-HOO! Very observant and good question! Actually getting the ones I got is a tease, because I don't plan to open those. The plan is to open only the super deluxe sets, of which I don't have any yet. That will give me access to the vinyl, CD's, hi-rez downloads, and the books. All the collecting isn't about money or retaining value to me, it's just about collecting. If I had all the money in the world I'd collect lots of things. But since I don't, i just concentrate on certain things for the most part. Zep is one of those things. If I tried to collect things from all the bands and musicians I like, I'd be in the poor house. That being said, I plan to leave the lesser items sealed just because it's redundant to open them. Now if I find out there is something special inside from someone else, I'll open them no problem. |

I got the 24/96 downloads of all three, and I've been loving them this last few days. Jimmy has done a great job on these; he hasn't fallen into the typical remaster trap of whacking up the gain and applying loads of compression, but has just focused on getting the utmost quality from the original tapes.
I'm really looking forward to the next releases now.

Has anyone heard the aautorip from Amazon? That's all I have right now because they won't ship to me for two weeks minimum.
If so, what do you think of them?
I need to listen to them again,,,,I just didn't think they were over the top, could just be me. Any thoughts?

Sorry I haven't chimed in yet folks on the new sounds here, but I've been super busy at home and haven't had any time to do any comparison listening. Here's what I CAN tell you..... - I got the Zep II super deluxe set and the packaging is pretty sweet. Very nice. - I now have all the deluxe CD's and the regular LP's but have not opened any. - Zep III super deluxe box is on it's way today. - Still waiting for the Zep I deluxe box, all 3 regular CD's, and all 3 Deluxe Vinyl to ship. Most important..... Friend hooked me up with advance copies of the hi-rez files on DVD-A. Gave them a one time listen through and I have to say I think they are quite good. Very good. I don't think I've ever heard Zep better. These are the closest thing to audiophile quality I've ever heard LZ. Some of the songs are very revealing and sound quite real, like Thank You and SIBLY. I also really enjoyed BIGLY. Of course when I get time I'm going to do some full blown volume adjusted head to head comparisons and I'll get back with you here. My recommendation: - If you care about packaging and can afford it, buy the super deluxe set and be done, you'll have CD, Vinyl and Hi-Rez. - If you don't care about packaging, go to HD-Tracks and buy the Hi-Rez only. From here you can either use those files straight up, make DVD-A discs, or even make CD's. You'll have it all but the vinyl and packaging. Cheers for now ---- Bonzo  |

My vinyl junkie Zep friend says his new vinyl of Zep I is the best he's ever heard, beating out the originals and even the 200 gram Classic Records pressings. |

They are even canceling orders outside the U.S. I've never heard of / or had problems with them myself until now. What I can tell you is it appears they definitely favored the people with Amazon prime. But it's also just not Amazon. I think the real problem is up stream in production. |

I ordered LZ III deluxe vinyl set from Soundstagedirect last Thursday. Shipped the same day and received it Tuesday. $37.99 with free shipping which is cheaper than Amazon

Listening to II deluxe right now, outstanding, dead quiet, very detailed and dynamic. I is even better. Still waiting for III to shop up my local shop, they said it will definitely will be in by next week end, can't wait |

Strange. I ordered Led Zeppelin II deluxe vinyl last Thursday from Soundstagedirect and recieved a message the next day that due to very high demand they had to wait for a repressing and could not give me an estimate when they would have it in stock again. Of course they offered the option to refund my money or to just wait. I chose to wait. |
