Or the hi-rez from HD-Tracks. That's the best deal because from there you can have your hi-rez files, make LPCM DVD's, make CD's, and even down rez the files for lesser playback elsewhere.

Jimmy Page was on David Letterman again last night. He just talked up his book & remasters. I was hoping that maybe he might play the guitar. But nooooooooo

All I can say is I have the 40 plus year old originals which as a whole sound better than the remastered LPs Definitely an opinion up for debate. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on the subject. And you haven't even mentioned the 200 gram Classic Records versions which many say are the best. Or the Bob Ludwig version of II which is legendary. Just like some prefer the original CD's vs the 1990 remaster. All preference. However, for pure clarity and separation, whether that's one's tastes or not, these new ones generally win.

Swapped out my HOH for a new one at barns and noble, will see if this is a good copy tonight. I have found the way to go about it but I didn't want to make it totally public yet until I gave it a whirl myself and made sure it works. Especially with me actually having 3 copies (regular, deluxe and super deluxe). Just want to make sure it works and it's not a falsehood. Don't want anyone else to have troubles if it doesn't work. But it involves an e-mail to a certain address. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Bonzo....is Jimmy doing the rest of the catalog or stopping with HOTH? I haven't looked hard but no obvious news I can find. I assume if it is knowable or known....you do!!!

Hey Bonzo....is Jimmy doing the rest of the catalog or stopping with HOTH? I haven't looked hard but no obvious news I can find. I assume if it is knowable or known....you do!!! They are all done. The music remastering was actually done a few years ago. When they released the "mastered for iTunes" stuff, that's when it was all done. It's just taken this long to get it all worked out. Look how long it took Celebration Day to see the light. The rumor is that the last ones will be released on the anniversary dates of their original releases. But that's just a rumor at the moment. If it's true, that would mean Physical Graffiti will be out in February. The other rumor is that Presence supposedly has some killer stuff on the companion disc, and the Coda companion will have a lot of surprises. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I am really enjoying my new Led Zep CD's. I just listened to my new Led Zeppelin IV thru the DC-1 and my HD600. I could tell they did a good job with the new mix. This stuff was never recorded with a priority on fidelity although Led Zeppelin II on vinyl used to rock some speakers back in the day. My vinyl of Led Zeppelin II is the one that came out in 1970. It is wore out and I probably need to move on getting all the new vinyl.
Thanks Bonzo for keeping everybody up on this !

Regarding the HOTH vinyl, it appears there is a known pressing issue (pressed in Germany for the U.S. markets) that effects the last half of The Ocean with distortion. People are being asked to contact the record label directly, from what I've heard at least. And this issue is supposedly only for vinyl. Glad to hear that I was not the only one who had trouble with HOH. Are we supposed to send Atlantic an email or do we call? By the way, I do have some concrete info on this, HOWEVER, before making a major internet statement, I am going through the process first myself. Bottom line, the first pressings from Pallas are defective, and you will need to e-mail a certain place to get a replacement (free). I have not gotten my actual replacements yet (although I know several others that have). Once I get mine I'll post the e-mail info here. That way I know for 100% certain that it works. Deadwax EtchingOriginal Pallas pressing = Stamped B2 = Defective Original Optimal pressing = Hand Etched B2 = Okay New Pallas pressing = B3 on side 2 (I think it's stamped but I'm not 100% sure)

I have them all so far in the new remastering....waiting on Physical Graffiti which sounds eminent. I think all 5 versions will be up on Amazon today or tomorrow latest. Here's a "pre-link" that Amazon seems to be using to test their upload or something. Yesterday they had it all up under artist 123. Very bizarre. Now that's gone, but you can't do a search to find any of them. It's like they are there but they aren't. www.amazon.com/Cd3-Artist-123/dp/B00RUT3A38/ref=sr_1_5?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1420647961&sr=1-5Disappointing news is the companion disc is just that, 1 disc. Only 7 songs of 15 possible tracks. I guess we'll see. 1. Brandy & Coke (Trampled Under Foot - Initial Rough Mix) 2. Sick Again (Early Version) 3. In My Time Of Dying (Initial Rough Mix) 4. Houses Of The Holy (Rough Mix With Overdubs) 5. Everybody Makes It Through (In The Light Early Version/In Transit) 6. Boogie With Stu (Sunset Sound Mix) 7. Driving Through Kashmir (Kashmir Rough Orchestra Mix)
