I purchased a pair of the carver cherry 180's amps during the short time they were working together and was looking forward to the matching tube pre but alas it never happened. I'm looking at the Vincent Sa-t7 or the Rouge Audio Rp5 now. That's $2500 that is going to a different company. Crap i remember when you bought those beautiful amps ,i was tempted to buy a pair myself but decided to hold off till an emo branded pair of tube monos came out , your 180's are a sweet looking pair of amps , its too bad for all of us that bob & emo parted ways , the way things appear emo is focused on HT processing & low budget gear now as well as getting product into dealers stores . I dont see how any high end audio dealer is gonna be able to sell the emo line to buyers without any reference gear behind the line , without the reference 2 channel line its just budget gear, its hard to get excited & spend money at a dealer over a new HT processing feature ,from my experience audio dealers arent all that interested in selling a customer budget gear, sure dont seem like things are moving in the right dirrection for 2 channel audio buyers thats for sure , it seems as if emo has put little to no thought into 2 channel customers like us who arent afraid to spend a few bucks .

That is the funny part. They have dropped the ball in the entry level line also. Dan's advise for people screaming for the xmc-1 rings true, if you are ready to buy, buy something. If you are willing to wait, then wait.
My last several purchases didn't go to Emotiva because they didn't have products that excited me (tube gear, media streamer/server). Sorry if you are reading this Dan. You seem like a great guy, but your company hasn't put out products focused to my taste.
