Anyone in Europe noted this....from my onkyo 3007 manual...wtf And that's not a joke either because in #8 right below it they say they are serious and there's even a watchdog to emphasize that. Well, I guess Europeans spell "serious" differently than we do here in the states. The dog's name is Lee. Seriously.

My speaker cables and XPA-1L's progress so far on their way to Sydney (I'll update in subsequent posts); Ordered and paid for via international funds transfer $US last week with Emotiva. Shipping request placed by Emotiva with UPS on Monday 23rd February 2015. Email received from UPS advising scheduled delivery to the re shipper in Oregon on Monday 2nd March 2015. That's 7 days...........a whole week to get from Tennessee to Oregon. I know it's ~3,800 kilometres but seriously, that's like an average speed of 23 kilometres an hour. Current status not as yet picked up, UPS tracking check as at 6.30 pm Tuesday 24th February 2015. There's one day wasted.
Cheers Gary

Don't worry Gary, you've done this before...be glad it's not
Most repair parts come to me here via USPS and it's normally 3-4 weeks...once was 7 weeks.
Maybe it's coming via bongo? Drums....

Upon completion of your order, Bongo will charge your credit card for the entire purchase. We will ship the goods to Bongo's Global Distribution Facility where Bongo will process the order and transport the goods to your international address. There are no additional fees or registration processes with this service.

Most repair parts come to me here via USPS and it's normally 3-4 weeks...once was 7 weeks. Yep, I have also had repair parts sent to me via USPS, and 3 to 4 weeks is the normal timeframe. I now demand UPS, that's about 3 to 5 days Franklin (via Memphis) to Sydney. But 7 days to Oregon is, let's just say, far from satisfactory. Cheers Gary

It might have something to do with white fluffy stuff that we don't get! My children have so far only ever seen it on TV. Current status still not as yet picked up, UPS tracking check as at 6.30 pm Wednesday 25th February 2015. There's two days wasted.
I'm on email notification for any unusual delays with UPS, so I would have thought non pick up for 2 days due to snow might be notifiable.
Cheers Gary

Current status, well....actually...... there isn't any. I contacted UPS to find out why they haven't picked up a shipment that they were booked to pick up on Monday, over 3 days ago. UPS actually don't know why they haven't picked it up. Unbelievably UPS don't chase up shipment bookings that aren't picked up, not 1 day, not 2 days, not 3 days, not ever. Apparently it's somehow my responsibility to find out why UPS hasn't picked up a shipment from their customer. The Customer Service guy at UPS also advised me that they don't have the ability to make outgoing calls, WTF. UPS can't contact their customer, the one who pays them, I'm stunned. Customer service zero.
Cheers Gary

Finally some movement, thanks to Nick at Emotiva, a company that actually cares about customer service. Unlike UPS, who obviously couldn't give a rats about their customers. The XPA-1L"s now due in Oregon on the Tuesday 3rd March according to the UPS tracker. That's 8 days and it'll still be in the US. At the same time as I ordered the XPA-1L's and the speaker cables (Friday 20th February) I ordered some race car stuff from a company I deal with in Indianapolis. That arrived via Fedex yesterday (Friday 27th February) that's 7 days door to door.
Cheers Gary

Yet another slippage; Scheduled Delivery Updated To: Thursday, 5th March 2015, By End of Day
That's 2 weeks from when Emotiva confirmed the funds transfer. A snail's pace 2 weeks to get from Tennessee to Oregon, UPS are seriously kidding.
Cheers Gary

Well they are finally moving, albeit not very fast, made it all the way to Illinois in 5 days. Hodgkins, IL, United States 02/28/2015 3:16 A.M. Departure Scan Hodgkins, IL, United States 02/27/2015 4:53 P.M. Arrival Scan Nashville, TN, United States 02/27/2015 7:30 A.M. Departure Scan Nashville, TN, United States 02/26/2015 10:04 P.M. Arrival Scan Franklin, TN, United States 02/26/2015 9:36 P.M. Departure Scan Franklin, TN, United States 02/26/2015 6:38 P.M. Origin Scan United States 02/23/2015 6:05 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS maybe bongo might not have been so bad after all For this shipment how long it takes for delivery isn't as important as 3 times the cost in freight. The XPA-5 is working just fine, so I can wait to have the XPA-1L's in the system. Plus bongo uses UPS, so any UPS slackness (like the above) could well be reflected in bongo delivery delays as well. Cheers Gary

I could handle two weeks for delivery. It's the inflated freight costs, dodgey exchange rate, charging taxes and duties on goods under $1000 and charging remote area delivery fees when I live in a capital city 15mins from the GPO

Arrived in Oregon 9.53 am Thursday 5th March, only took UPS 10 days to get it there from Tennessee Just waiting on the reshipper's notification. Why the puke Gary? Is 10 days bad from Tennessee to Sidney? Tennessee to Switzerland takes about 7 days for reference. That's 10 days from Franklin Tennessee to Portland Oregon. Update, the reshipper has received it, notified me via email and I've paid the freight cost via paypal credit card. Expected delivery 16th March, I chose the slow delivery, so that's 10 days from Portland Oregon to Sydney Australia. Cheers Gary
