Thanks, no rain or wind so itβs just aggravating that the power is already out. I wish our guys further south would report in.

So far so good in big B.R. It sprinkled all day yesterday with intermittent breeze, but no heavy downpours, wind damage, or power outages. Knock on wood, but I think we may have dodged the bullet on this one.

Made it through without flooding. Winds were gusty most of the night. Had lots of rain too.

Hope all stays well for you guys, I'm a lot farther north than ya'll but it is already +30 Celsius here with an expected high of +33 and the humidity is really high so it's supposed to feel like +44 haha and we have had some really good thunderstorms the past few days, very humid and we had a good lightning show the last few nights. What are the temps down there for you guys ?

With the overcast, light rain, and occasional wind, we're in the mid to upper 70s. Feeder bands from the storm seem to keep going by to our East, but those heavier rains (and a few wimpy tornados) haven't approached us.
Some communities to our East are going to have to deal with flooding unless the storm center picks up and moves on, but again, we've been very lucky. Despite being under flash flood warnings and tornado warnings all day, I went out for lunch and cooked on the grill. We haven't lost power at all, so I could have cooked inside, but I wanted to get a feel for the weather firsthand - and it's a yawn.
We've been lucky to now, and our luck is still holding. Would that everyone else was so lucky...

We get the best of both worlds -40 Celsius in winter and +40 in summer haha, many make fun of us as it can get so cold here but it also can get very warm, no wonder we have the world famous potholes on our roads haha, been a few tornado warnings here as well this past week.

Yeah - I discovered that the side burner on the propane grill must be used on "high" or the wind will blow it out!

I got married 9/2/95, and my wife and I went to St. John. Arriving in St. Thomas to take a ferry to St. John, we were to meet a guide. We did, and he said "surprised you came man...biggest hurricane since Hugo comin' this way" At that point, we had no choice but to stay, so we took the ferry to St. John and (long story short) - found our villa but had to break in (real estate managers had boarded up and left). We stocked up on essential supplies (beer, liquor, and some food) and rode it out. I have a picture of my wife cooking eggs on a propane grill in 70+ mph winds. We had to keep the lid shut and only lift it to scramble the eggs. He dress kept blowing up in the wind. Ah...good times. We spent the 2nd night of our honeymoon UNDER a mattress in a large closet (poured concrete walls). We had some flowers from the island and a bottle of vodka with us under the mattress. Mark
